Posted October 3, 2013 (edited) I think Spy Protection could use a buff. For instance, there could be a timer that prevents someone from logging accounts from different kingdoms on the same IP right after the other. Posted October 3, 2013 I'm sure no one will be clever enough to find a way to bypass an IP check.
Posted October 3, 2013 Because the already 5 minute timer is not enough? Is fine as it is.
Posted October 3, 2013 Its not like you can even play on 2 accounts of different kingdoms on the same server at the same time as it is, and its legal by game rules. Spy prevention is a joke, and this wouldn't do anything to change that.
Posted October 3, 2013 It isnt against the rules to play on alts from another kingdom, and theres a lot of people who know how to do so on the same server, this suggestion sadly wont do anything to stop that
Posted October 3, 2013 The only way to resolve spy's is to have an active GM monitoring and looking into the issue. Without this, there is no real way of preventing them.
Posted October 4, 2013 I say less spy protection, make spies a part of the game.
Posted October 4, 2013 (edited) -1I say just remove spy protection all together. As much as I hate alts, spies and all that silly nonsense; It's easily bypassed, pointless, and just makes it a pain for people using cross-kingdom priest alts. Posted October 4, 2013 Hmm i don't think so much spy protection is the issue but more spy identification, in eve for example ( lots o spy's) they have a system in place when everyone of a group can set peoples lvls for ez identification. There needs to be a way for villages to set people Kos to there village and have them show red, yellow or some other identifying color when off deed for people they my not know ever name in the game off the top of there head. currently ( at lest on elevation) i consider all white JK people i see as spy's and will kill them if i see them only because there is no other way to handle the problem. Posted October 4, 2013 Let kings kick people out of the kingdom. Only true spy protection. Let Village leaders kick a King if they think he is abusing his role.

Posted October 5, 2013 Let kings kick people out of the kingdom. Only true spy protection. Let Village leaders kick a King if they think he is abusing his role. I like that idea, but add civil wars too so we can dethrone bad kings.
Posted October 5, 2013 Isnt that what the challenge ring effectively is? Once you have enough support against the sitting king anyways.
Posted November 6, 2013 I never considered spies a problem. As long as you have the tools to kill/hunt them down when they actively try to grief. In the past it was troublesome at times, when enemy alts ran around griefing freely under kingdom protection, but the current reputation system seems acceptable to deal with them even on home servers. Posted November 6, 2013 We came to the conclusion that in extreme cases where we receive repeated complaints about players metagaming and harassing other players we may go in and issue a warning. If the player does not stop these actions and start acting as part of the kingdom he has selected, he will be set to "No kingdom" with whatever consequences that has for his survival and assets such as deed ownership issued bans as per standard policy. Aka fight your own kingdom=ban, as it is apparently metagaming.
