Ok, I understand what you mean. The question remains then where would the line be drawn to stop automatically including deeds to the map?

I'm afraid the line will have to be drawn using good old-fashioned common sense, by whomever puts the markers on the map. :)

Thinking about it, even a blank deed marker could stimulate the interest of looters, once the removal of the marker was requested in the map thread. People would then know that a deed there went down, even if they don't know the name. I think that looters don't really care about the name! Interestingly, I met a looter the other day who was at an abandoned neighbours deed, he was camping out there waiting for buildings to decay and was generally excited at the prospect of what he might find. That was a new perspective for me, not somebody being malicious but a genuine opportunist. As a deed owner you'd be inclined to think more about the former and not the latter.

Mines like to collapse a lot, but marking areas rich with particular vein type may be very useful.

Maybe a very light shade of an area corresponding to a key of colors?

In the area around Esert that might make sense, but it does take away some of the element of exploration. You only really have to walk inside some open mines in the area to find stuff.

Maybe different colors? However that may run our of options quickly for color choice.

How about Ritual sites being added?  Like Foundation pillars, shrines, temples, and the like?

Marking settlements that private or community (village) deeds. Maybe more sub category (harbors, shipyards, mines, farm fields, etc.)

Today i had a new idea


What you think about numbered Waypoints on the highways and pointing signs/waypointmarkers in wurm?


At afternoon i could post an example map and screen here.


If you like this idea i would need some help to plant the signs.

There is already a project going to put signs down from esert to FoE canal Market.     Best bet would be if you are doing simuller projects is to put the furthest named place on the route instead of your own deed *glares at the exo pearls* This way people looking at the map will know where said road actually ends.
