Posted August 12, 2017 fun isn't it, you pronounce something a certain way for over a decade then you see someone on tv pronounce it and it's completely different. by the way.. in the US, if u pronounce route 66 as root 66, why do you pronounce routers as rau-ters? Posted August 12, 2017 Depends on which part of the US one is talking about. In some regions for example the h in herb is silent, and in others they actually pronounce it, the weirdos.
