Posted September 11, 2013 Viking battle helmets never had horns, however some ceremonial gear probably had. Celtic ceremonial headgear definitely had all sorts of horns and antlers and other decoration. The Teutonic Knights however did go into battle with various outrageously horned and winged helmets. Posted September 12, 2013 Looks like a good idea, Wox, but I dunno about the whole pheasant thing. It just looks almost comical, but if that's the point then it works! I think it would be cool to have more variety in helms like having the horned or ornate helmets. There's a lot of cool variety there. Posted September 12, 2013 (edited) Well if you are going to make the helm more ornate it will look out of place on the plate armor might want to make changes to that at the same time. Also don't forget that we all use the helms for the scale sets so making one match with that might be nice too.
