Lowering The Frame Limiter Lower Limit

Recommended Posts

Hey,

I don't know who's with me on this but imo the lower limit on the frame limiter settings is just a waste of computing power. 15fps when idle and 30fps when the window is active?

I used to play wurm at 8-12fps max. and for my taste that's all i need. And especially when the window is in background i don't see a need for more than maybe 4fps.

I'm mostly about saving computing power so i can either run more than 3 clients on max settings at the same time or save electricity.

So yeah, i've tried lowering it in the config files but it won't work. Is there any other way of forcing the limiter to work at lower fps counts? Or maybe could a client dev look into this and lower the thresholds?

Can only agree. 15 FPS for a background window always seemed a bit excessive to me, especially since Wurm appears to have become more processor-intensive post-1.0.
