Failed To Validate Certificate

Recommended Posts

Hello everyone. I have been playing wurm for rather long time and today i have come across a problem. When i try play wurm the logo comes up but i am shortly met with...

Application blocked for security.

Failed to validate certificate

This application will not be executed

Name: Wurm Online

Publisher: Code Club AB

Location: http://wurmonline.com/client/wurmclient.jnlp

I have tried everything i can think of to get this to work. I have uninstalled java, re-installed it, restarted my computer god knows how many times and gone into the java console and removed Wurm online. Once i removed wurm online the client downloads something then just comes up with this error validation thing again.

Please help, I haven't been able to play wurm for 3 days... I feel lost without it.

Go to java control panel and check that these marked in red settings are like this:

and if the pop up comes up again make sure the box that says to trust that certificate is checked marked,

then follow the path  ( sun>java>deployment>security) to the file shown trusted.certs

Woo

Found this thread: http://forum.wurmonline.com/index.php?/topic/43997-java-problem-failed-to-validate-certificate-solved/

Tried this solution:

" Go to "C:\Users\YOUR USERNAME HERE\AppData\LocalLow\Sun\Java\Deployment\security" and delete trusted.certs. Then launch the Wurm client and the file should reappear and Wurm launch normally.
At least it did it for me! :) "

And it worked. File path is different on XP but you get the idea.
