did you try disabling GLSL shaders in Compatability, i hear thats an issue for some peeps

The only problem with disabling GLSL is you lose all reflections but at least it sorts out the terrible lighting and FPS drop.

i get the same as in the OP when i set GLSL to 'extension'

I also have this issue with an ATI card.  Will try disabling GLSL.
