Deedplanner 2.9.6 - 3D House And Deed Planner

I didn't made the official guide, but there are few unofficial video tutorials that should be still relatively up to date.

You can rotate staircases by changing floor orientation.

You can delete bridges by clicking on any bridge tile and selecting delete option from labels panel.

All I saw was Delete building on tile.  That doesn't delete it.

No matter, I'm working on a test file.  And I never saw the floor orientation ;P

I found 3 videos out there that were semi helpful.  Thought maybe you had some doc's. :)

Hello.  I wanted someone to know.

Whenever I'm in the objects tab, and I try and delete something like a tree, it's erroring out with this message.

Have the same issue. Meant to post but got distracted. Has happened twice to me. After deleting a fountain and after deleting an animal

Known issue, I will fix it in next bugfix (I'm busy until Tuesday, will post it after that). Current workaround is avoiding tile corners while deleting things in object mode.

I thought I had it nailed down to a cause.  If you're trying to delete a tree, make sure you have trees selected and you're careful where you click when you delete it.  But in any event, this error should never happen.  Software should eat it and go on. :)

Thanks, Warlander, for all your help. :)

DeedPlanner 2.9.1 released! Changes:

  • Updated Google Analytics agreement text (info about possibility to remove your data from system and that data is used for informative purposes only)
  • Fixed null pointer when deleting object with mouse near tile corner
  • Fixed missing arch materials for wooden and stone walls

Sorry about leaving the crash error in for two weeks since it was first reported - end of semester on university I'm attending to is coming, so time is pretty valuable resource. :)

Edit: Should have read further back, guess this is known.

I also get wierd behavior when loading a second map. Sometimes works, sometimes crashes right away, sometimes crashes shortly after. Just quit and reload before switching maps now.

Selecting orange tree (large) before right clicking and the tree is gone. :)

Hmm... I thought I fixed this bug in 2.9.1, will need to check this again.

@WarlanderJust tried out 2.9.1, nice job with the UI changes. Is there a known bug with setting cave size? It seems the radio button "Size (caves only)" is always disabled no matter the layer being viewed. Also, I can't seem to get the cave floors to show, it always seems to be water.

Ooops, that's an oversight. Fixed in my version already, I will release the bugfix after dealing with objects bug.

Cave floors seem fine to me, what are you trying to do?

DeedPlanner 2.9.2 released! Changes:

  • Fixed missing possibility to change cave size after GUI changes
  • Fixed crash when trying to remove objects on map without adding any objects first

@WarlanderWith 2.9.2 the cave size radio button is enabled when on negative floors now, but clicking around with that selected doesn't seem to do anything.

About the water, e.g. I make a new map, add 4 cave floor tiles/blocks, and then view "inside". This is in 2.8.9 vs 2.9.2:

Okay, so I'm sure this has been asked before, but can you avoid getting an error everytime you load an old save file into the new deed planner?

When using the "fill" option to adjust ground tiles I get a crash error if I accidentally click on a tile of the same resource type i'm filling with. (IE using grass and the fill tool and clicking a grass tile)

*Edit* Using the newest 2.9.2 that it updated to.

I was working on a building plan that included bridges, and I changed the elevation of the entire house. I noticed after I changed the elevation that the bridges seemed to be in the wrong spot (possibly at their original heights before changing elevation). I tried to delete the bridges so I could re-plan them in their proper spots, but I couldn't delete them. I had an old save file from (I think) before I changed the elevation, so I went to open that one thinking I would just delete the bridges and THEN change the elevation and add the bridges back in after... but now when I try to open that file, I get:

Any ideas how I can get these files to open? I really don't want to have to start the whole plan over. :(

Nevermind! Figured out that bridges are really easy to find in the raw save files and deleted them manually; good to go. :)

Any ideas how I can get these files to open? I really don't want to have to start the whole plan over. :(

You could try to open the save file with text editor, search for "bridge" and delete some/all of them from file.

When using the "fill" option to adjust ground tiles I get a crash error if I accidentally click on a tile of the same resource type i'm filling with. (IE using grass and the fill tool and clicking a grass tile)

*Edit* Using the newest 2.9.2 that it updated to.

Here is the crash info:

Program ran out of memory, I will take a look at ground filling to make it less memory-consuming.

Oh, that might be an issue specific to me then as I’m using a pretty old / junky PC xD

This is most likely a network problem on his side, but I temporarily made a mirror of current version so he can try to download it instead.

hi! Wonderful software & I use it all the time

I noticed a TOTALLY MINOR BUG so whenever you work on the client...or are bored (haha :D)

The updater goes to 105% 😛

This is a seriously small problem, almost feeling guilty for reporting it but.....you know, its like the sound going to 11 :D

Just to update from this, it seems like cave size adjusting is actually working okay, it's just the grid of numbers that shows when you hover is still showing the height values even when toggled to size.

There's still the missing floors though, let me know if I can provide any more info about that bug for you.
