Deedplanner 2.9.10 - 3D House And Deed Planner

Recommended Posts

The updater has been buggy for a few versions now this time I opened the updater on its own from the file and it worked fine but yes it needs some work.

Try the new version - this should fix most startup-related bugs. :)

I have troubles starting Deedplanner. it worked yesterday but now, nothing happens. All i see is that Javaw is opening and then closing when i press deedplanner.exe. I haven't done anything at all but i did install newest Java and JDK. I've tried reinstalling Graphic card but nothing.

Nothing in error/info logs? Without them it is difficult to judge what is wrong.

I need some feedback about updater program - is it working well?

Updater is working. Nothing, nothing in errorlog.

I've tried all the other Java/javaw programs and they all run fine. I am not sure what is wrong.

When running it in the Javaws.exe i get this

"JNLParseException[ Could not parse launch file. Error at line 0.]

    at com.sun.javaws.jnl.XMLFormat.parse(Unknown Source)

    at com.sun.javaws.jnl.XMLFormat.parse(Unknown Source)

    at com.sun.javaws.Main$1.run(Unknown Source)

    at java.lang.Thread.run(Unknown Source)

"

I don't know if it's related or not beacuse i opened it with Javaws.exe instead.

I just did some tests with different versions of Java, the newest and previous did the same, nothing happens when i click Deedplanner. But they did show different errors when launching them with Javaws.

I have no idea what so ever why only your program suddenly stopped working for me... i kinda need it really bad for planning my deed and i can't do anything right now. I hope you can help me and i hope it's just me and nothing wrong with your program!

Had the same thing.

Try this:

I could start up the program  and plan stuff (but for a weird reason, it froze when I tried to save what I created for about 2 hours XD) havent tried the latest version to see if I still need the .bat file.

If you have Java configured properly on your machine, you should be able to run program without problems - otherwise, there must be something wrong with Java conditional variable in your OS.

Version 1.7k released! Changes:

  • changed palisade texture and model
  • fixed clay tiles bug (this do not affect saves before this version)

I tried making a .BAT file instead like the post suggested in previous page and it says this:

I haven't done anything with java, i simple installed 32bit and 64bit also JDK. I don't know how to fix this, everything else works just fine

most of my friends do also encounter the exact problem. Doesn't matter what java version, tried on 4 different computer. run the Deedplanner.jar - nothing happens at all, only Javaw.exe pops up and disappears very fast.

I might add " But the strangest thing happend when Deedplanner stopped running, i restarted my computer and all my logins were gone, i had to retype all passwords, including Wurm online settings

Gives me these errors.

I'll try to fix it for me. It's known that Java is the worse program ever.

Tried on a computer that it actually worked on, copied his JAVA folder but still no success. Your program is broken on my computer and as far as i can tell, i will never be able to run your program again on this computer.

I'll head over to a Java forum and see if i get some more java specific help about this.  :( sad face.

Sorry for not responding earlier, I completely forgot I posted here. There was actually nothing in the error logs, which was weird. But luckily with your new update it is completely useable, thanks much!

And now I have the pleasure of learning how to use this, as the last time I used it it was in one of the last versions of the House Calculator, so a ton has changed ;)

Not a big thing but could you add in the stone fence if it is not to much trouble to do so.  :)

Well I used to run this before, but today I downloaded the current version and can't start it.

info log:

Mapper form initialized
Initializing mapper core
Mapper OpenGL window started
Trying to detect OpenGL capabilities
Antialiasting is supported!
Failed to create display!

error log:

Failed to create display!
DISPLAY CREATION FAILED

not very descriptive.

I hope that it is still easy to use. ;)

I am still learning the different functions of it, which I say is amazing. There is so much you can do I love it. For some feedback as of now I would say that the elevation took a little while to get the hang of, maybe due to the large amount of options, which I like by the way, it just takes some messing around is all.

I have an interesting issue where Trees and Palisades are showing an interesting issue where the texture is strung out along the whole length of the log, making it seem similar to a bundle of twigs strapped together. Also, I'm not sure if it is just me but trees seem to have a very small radius in which clicking delete will remove it, it takes quite a lot longer of trying to actually delete a tree.

Well for the small amount I've been able to use the tool, I really love it.  Unfortunately the app is crashing for me quite often - freezing up when saving, loading, etc.  The biggest issue I'm having now is that every time I try to load my basic map I've created (a 50x36 with no structures), it loads and then crashes with the following error.  Any help is appreciated.

Exception in thread "Thread-2" java.lang.ArrayIndexOutOfBoundsException: 48

at Mapper.Mapper.draw(Mapper.java:238)

at Mapper.Mapper.loop(Mapper.java:131)

at Mapper.Mapper.access$200(Mapper.java:36)

at Mapper.Mapper$1.run(Mapper.java:118)

Can you post save pastebin?

@Keldun - I changed nothing in the way how display is created since many versions, can you post more details about your hardware?

Java crash on resizing. Happens when I:

Add width to right

Add width to left

Adding height doesn't crash the program but however I add it, I can not change elevation on top n added tiles.

Nothing is written in error log of program.

This happens to me too when I resize on a fresh map.  Instant crash.

Okay, some more info, this problem is on Win7 Pro 64-bit. A bit unclear which java version is running, probably 1.6... I have several installed.

Works fine on Ubuntu.

Well I didn't test for many versions, but I did an Ubuntu update.

I got a Notebook with an Intel i3 and Nvidia GeForce 315M / Intel Ironlake graphics.

For the display error it doesn't matter which graphic chip I use by the way.

The gui pops up for a half a minute with a black map.

edit: doesn't seem to be a hardware fault: just bootet windows on the same machine, there Deedplanner works.
