Deedplanner 2.9.10 - 3D House And Deed Planner

Recommended Posts

This app is amazing :D

A couple of things:

Salt vein is missing in the cave floor editor.

It would be nice to have something in the cave map to indicate that the wall is not mineable (like when you get the message "dirt is flowing in, you will be buried alive").

Hmm... I missed the salt vein, will add it in next update (after the current one which is currently uploading).

When it comes to indicators if the wall is not mineable... Good idea, I will take a look at that when current important issues will be resolved. :)

DeedPlanner 2.8.3 released! Changes:

  • Added support for custom database files
  • Added new bush types
  • Added both garden gnome types
  • Added birdcages
  • Added small and large carts
  • Added ship transporter
  • Fixed bug making it impossible to delete floors/roofs on uneven terrain

This update is mostly meant to make it easier for in-game exporter and DeedPlanner to talk with each other, but one interesting feature got added as well: support for custom database files.

Custom database files make it easier to keep non-official modifications to the program database up to date with next program versions. I think this feature will be useful especially for owners of heavily modded WU servers. :)

This is the error log generated when I attempt to launch Deed Planner 2.

What I have tried:

I have made sure Java is up to data.

Deleting the folder and unzipping.

Unzipping to a second partition/hard drive.

I have downloaded from Dropbox a new version of the zip.

The odd thing is, it loaded for a moment and then my computer locked up. I do not know if the two are related or not.

Any thoughts would be appreciated, thank you. :)

Edit/Update: I located .Deedplanner folder under my user name and renamed it. This allowed for a new folder to be created and resolved the issue.

DeedPlanner 2.8.4 released! Changes:

  • Added new bridge types
  • Added possibility to build bridges in caves
  • Added salt veins
  • Added snow lanterns
  • Bridge materials calculations are more accurate now (included different costs for narrow/side/center parts of the bridge)
  • Corrected materials costs on bridge parts
  • Fixed Wurmian view in caves

This one is a quick update - I will add custom bridge tilings as 2.9 release, as this is bigger topic and will require much more time to add. :)

I can't get this to work at all. I have WIndows 10. When trying to start it asks what program to open it with and I chose Java Platform SE Binary. Nothing happens. No error files that I can find either.

I could help you using the TeamViewer if you want, just write me a PM in such case. :)

You could also try manually running the program if you know how to use cmd (command line) in Windows - navigate to DeedPlanner directory and try running the "java -jar DeedPlanner.jar" command.

Gone ahead and looked through all the objects you have added. Here are the ones that are missing: (P.S. Despite reading that you added some items, I wasn't able to find them in the most recently available version so I added them here nevertheless.)

  • Carpets
  • Alchemist's Cupboard
  • Large Cart
  • Small Cart
  • Ship Transporter
  • Custom Wagon Designs for PMK's
  • Bow Rack
  • Tents - Explorer Tent and others (Should be added for event area planning)
  • Polearms Rack
  • Press
  • Small Bucket
  • Weapon's Rack
  • Ballista
  • Catapult
  • Strange Device
  • Trebuchet
  • Machine Mount
  • Construction Marker
  • Unfinished Pallisade Gate would be good since many use that as arches
  • Range Pole & Dioptra
  • Axe Display
  • Birdcage
  • Gnomes - Red and Green
  • Would be good to have tapestries actually look the same in the planner as they do ingame
  • Tapestry Stand
  • Larder
  • Bear Rugs
  • Dragon Skulls

That's the ones I could find for now that would probably make our lives a lot more colorful :D Thanks in advance for the work on it!

I will add all of these missing models in 2.8.5. :)

One warning to users of current versions:

Saving and loading from/to Pastebin will stop working without any warnings in August in all DeedPlanner versions before incoming 2.8.5. Reason - Pastebin changes its public API, all data must be sent using more secure HTTPS rather than currently used HTTP.

How can I make my whole deed visible?  It is setting the South end on the bottom of the screen, and I cannot figure out how to make the North part of my deed visible. It only lets me scroll out so much, and it does not seem to want to move the visible grid.   I feel like I've had this problem before, and just forgot how to fix it.

You're adding so many decorations lately, but can't DeedPlanner grab them from Wurm folder just like the WOM Model Viewer?

By the way, decorations can't be placed in corners...

It could, but there is a problem that graphics pack update in some cases would break the program, so it was decided few years ago (by me and other users) that current approach will be used.

When it comes to decorations that cannot be placed in corners - that's one of limitations of current DeedPlanner objects system, I can take a look at lifting it tho. The biggest problem in this case is deciding when mouse is "close enough" to the corner, so placement of objects in current way won't be disrupted.

Using DeedPlanner in Linux I cannot start the program by duoble clicking the jar, it will get me to an error then I need to kill the process manually:

Spoiler

[2017-06-25 11:15:24] Error has occurred!
Java vendor: Oracle Corporation
Java version: 1.8.0_131
DeedPlanner 2.8.5
java.lang.NullPointerException
    at java.util.Arrays.stream(Arrays.java:5004)
    at pl.wurmonline.deedplanner.forms.Loading.lambda$new$30(Loading.java:35)
    at java.lang.Thread.run(Thread.java:748)

It start fine though from console, running it by java -jar DeedPlanner.jar.

I have no idea what can cause this but as long as there is a workaround it is not serious for me...

EDIT: I need to kill the java process after quitting DeedPlanner as although there is an termination message in the console the window stays open.

I guess I'll download the latest one and try again.  Is there another place I can look for this issue?  If not, I guess I can only "plan" 2/3's of my deed.

Never mind.  Found help in-game.  Although, horizontal and vertical slides would be nice.  I did not realize that asdw moved the 2d view, and couldn't find that mentioned anywhere.

Thanks to Wulfmaer for the help.

Mayor of village must go to token and use option available on it (it was called "show deed plan" or something very similar). :)

Hi. Yes, I've done this. When I first load the exported map into Deedplanner, I get the "External map detected" menu.... Oh, wait. I had to simply float through the cloud water to get to the deed in 3d view, though I have to do this each time for 3D view. Wurmian view always keeps me floating in this water.

Also, 2d view is not editable, and everything has a greenish tint to it.

o/
while we wait for the refactoring to complete, would it be possible to add a `remove all objects` function to Deedplanner?
im finding it hard to summon the motivation to deed>export, then switch my res to 1080p, then load dp and remove all the incorrectly identified objects from the map.
it's just, grim. A `remove all` button would be very very useful.
