what a crap, i left WO because of weird admins and weird people, just to land here because of a weird tool in a weird forum. this is really frustrating. when i change height i have numbers on the left that seem to say nothing, when i switch to 3d i just have holes in the ground and noses hanging from the ceiling but i cannot seem to make the cave just higher, nohting else.

thanks for the support, i downloaded the deedplanner from this thread but i dont have all that tabs i dont have animals and dont have the ground options

Small QOL thing coming in DeedPlanner 2.8.0: height preview will receive additional functionality, showing heights not just when hovering tile corners, but also when hovering tile centers, displaying height values for each corner of this tile. Screenshot below:

As you can see, there is a new "Import heights from game" edit mode, I will post more details about it soon. :)

ETA for 2.8.0 will most likely not change. I do not plan publishing any new 2.7.x version anymore, so - if new wall types will appear before 14 April - they will have to wait until that day.

Damn already 4 years! Time really does fly by :)

 

And yeah i've been slamming the F5 key into destruction all day today xD Can't wait to fiddle around with the new walls and fences

As a WU player the deed planner update is all I can hope for today :D Nothing else is getting done today while I keep having to check the deed planner Facebook page as well as this page every few minutes (dont want to miss out on precious minutes deed planning!) :D

DeedPlanner 2.8.0 released! Changes:

  • Added "Animals" tab
  • Added new program icons (big thanks to Yldrania! :))
  • Added possibility to exclusively import a single mesh from a model
  • Added new wall and fence types
  • Added new pavement types
  • Added reinforced cave floor tiles
  • Added sandstone veins
  • Added yule goats, reindeers and valentine potteries
  • Added orange trees
  • Added trellises
  • Improved functionality of height previewer to also work for tile centers
  • Few graphics improvements (improved distant textures rendering - might have slight performance impact)
  • Moved all wall types into their corresponding categories
  • Changed contrast of cave floor and cave wall tiles
  • Fixed inconsistent naming of some pavement types

Small disclaimer - this is a huge update and I received all the new models just two days before the release, so there might be some bugs like wrong/missing models - I will try to fix them all ASAP.

Animals feature is mostly beta for now, with cows/bulls and both horse types (normal + hell horses) added. I am waiting for feedback related to them. :)

New height edition mode is delayed until one of 2.8.x updates - it works already, but I am not very happy with it yet, so need a bit more time to finish and polish it.

 

DeedPlanner is 4 years old! What do you like most in this program? :) Is there any specific direction you would like to see DeedPlanner head to?

Shouldn't the building floors be changed to match new paving types? I know that my existing pottery brick floors changed to the new red brick style with the update.

Seems like I've found the problem. If you launch it from a player document instead of C:/program/ it will launch Java with the native language (Swedish in my case) I moved it from documents to Program and it seems to work very nicely now.

First off, thank you for your work on Deeplanner :) . I noticed the new fences are missing, only the new fence gates are added.

Update seems smooth have not seen any issues yet :) 

 

I was wondering if there was a way to highlight a bridge and get a materials list for them like we can do for buildings? (not a big deal but would be helpful) 

 

Edit: It might also be nice to have the locks register on the building/map lists.

I have Windows 10, Java 8, I unzipped the program and cannot get it to load at all unless I run cmd and enter java.exe -jar "T:\Program Files (x86)\Games\DeedPlanner 2.8.0\DeedPlanner.jar"

When I do this method the program opens and I get the error in the spoiler below. The client is grayed out and does not work (eventually crashes)

 

When I just double click the Deedplanner.jar file a faint window seems to flash on my screen and quickly disappear.. Doesn't work at all.

Several years ago I used to use the original deed planner and loved it so much! I really really hope someone can figure out my problem with deed planner 2. I would very much like to use it, because it is brilliant!

When you run the program using .jar directly from system explorer - is there a file called "ErrorLog.txt" created in the same directory? Is it empty?

Wow, what an amazing update! And happy birthday DeedPlanner! What an amazing labor of love it's been. You've helped so many Wurmians. And something that I don't think many people consider is the value that DeedPlanner adds to making Wurm thrive. Without DeedPlanner, people would get frustrated building in the game much more easily and would probably give up the whole game much more often. DeedPlanner keeps things "sane".
