An artificially maintained hunting preserve would be great; though, not a fan of such persay especially in a sandbox. Perhaps something working more under player agency?

Wild Frontier servers: Conquerable maps that require a certain amount of kingdom influence, and other criteria met in stages perhaps, before certain levels of infrastructure are allowed. Before then, they considered "wild" with accelerated decay, higher spawn rates for wild animals, and other such as previously mentioned.

Conquer criteria may consist of, but not limited to:

  • Majority kingdom influence percent
  • Adjoining server that's been settled.
  • Minimum number of towers
  • Minimum active population
  • Certain type of prerequisite deeds maintained.
  • Construction of capital deed, functions as starter. Available as option once other criteria met.

Perhaps timers for conquered servers to reset to "wild" state if certain conditions are not met. ie a less active kingdom. Perhaps actions performed by an opposing kd to speed things up.

These could be setup to work in both pvp and pve, giving more usage for kingdom influence.

This can be extended further by enabling ruling kd to set perms on server: Hunting Preserve, Protectorate, etc. Perhaps even taxes in some manner for income, and enable smuggling options.

Disadvantages: Offhand as exhibited by other games with similar mechanics (New World as one example), this can lead to major uphill battles by smaller kingdoms, especially when flawed mechanics/exploits occur exasperating the situation.
