Posted January 26, 2013 HelloRecently, there have been at least 2 posts on the Deliverance forums about priests starting sermon groups. Additionally, my 2 priests have been trying to get a regular set of sermons to increase their faith gain. This is proving difficult as there are no rewards for listeners.I propose that listeners get some reward for listening to a sermon (if you wanted to look at it Wogically, they would get something in RL) something like:Increase skill gain for 10 minutes. "You mind clears from the sermon and you can now gain knowledge" (or something)Rewards similar to the priests spam praying i.e iron coins, mushrooms, gemsI am sure there are many other ideas that could go with these options. I think this would promote more community interaction and offer a reward to those in the community helping the priests in the area and stop all priests congregating in one spot.Thank you. Posted January 26, 2013 I would suggest an alternative - the priest provides a reward to the players to encourage them to attend sermons. Entirely up to the player what that reward may be - coin, tools, enchants, meals, materials...Players rewarding other players will promote community interaction. The game rewarding groups of players merely promotes people gathering in one spot, not interaction.
Posted January 27, 2013 Followers can get rewards, up to +4 alignment if it's not changed again since.

Posted January 27, 2013 Personally I think the alignment is plenty. I send new priests to sermon groups, they listen away and in a few days can go from 1 to 100 alignment!
Posted January 29, 2013 (edited) In a few days of Sermons at the Impalong I was a follower and I got to 100 alignment easy, which is as Chese said more then enough of a reward. And as Hordern suggested if the priest offers something as a reward then he/she might see an increase in attendance lol Edited January 29, 2013 by Shrimpiie
Posted January 29, 2013 (edited) In my opinion, as a person who worships as part of his religion. I feel my faith increase when I listen to the "sermons" of my church. It makes sense that listeners should be able to gain a small amount of faith from listening. Any benefit the "speaker" gets should be reflected in lesser amounts to the listeners.EDIT:Just had this thought,Mag sermon = FS bonus for x timeFo sermon = Increase to farming/forestry for x timeVyn sermon = 50% of standard rest bonus for x timeLibila sermon = Nothing, cause I hate Libila Edited January 29, 2013 by Toriad
