Posted January 14, 2013 The client on Linux runs fine for me. Mint, which is just Ubuntu under the hood. But there is one problem which is killing me. It won't use the USB headphones. I plug them in and all other apps come out the headphones, but Wurm comes out the speakers. Any Linux folks have any ideas on why?
Posted January 15, 2013 Some things you can try:Set wurm to OpenAL sound engine. Install the pavucontrol package and select the audio output manually. If that does not help, edit /etc/openal/alsoft.conf and add the line (or change remove the # and edit the current one to):drivers = pulse
Posted January 18, 2013 Got it working, thank you. I installed Oracle's java too, but for some reason the game just seems way too jumpy and is way harder to play than on Windows on the same computer. Need to figure that out next.
Posted January 20, 2013 Figured out why it looked bad and was too jumpy to play. Posted what I did to fix it here: http://forum.wurmonline.com/index.php?/topic/74128-linux-with-crossfire-ati-cards/
