But such guys can be a great advantage for this game and we should try to keep them.

I dont know about you but GMs dont perma ban without a reason. Are you saying that just because he is popular he should be unbanned?

We should try to keep popular people. Which means prevent any cases which will result into a perma ban.

Indeed no idea what is the best for Wurm?

Not much people but the best of the world for this game as we have them now.

Or more people => more money and => more popularity but not that good kind of people anylonger.

Hard question...

This was more meant as general question. Yes it is good that he got banned but this could have been prevented.

But (general question) would that be good for the Wurm we know if we get to 50 000 active players one day. Just imagine what this means...

There's no exceptions for the rules despite being popular or having some fame. Many been banned before, and punished including GMs, big time premium players, and public figures. You cheat, exploit, macro, etc you should just be banned no matter whom you are.

Man you don't really seem to get the fact that rules in Wurm may seem trivial when compared to something like real life, but in Wurm these rules are the law, and just like in real life the law is blind. If some guy in real life goes and does something criminal it doesn't matter what good he did to a community or had the potential to. He still committed a crime and will be be punished accordingly.

This is only likely to go downhill from here...

What happened was regrettable, but it happened. Such is the way of things.
