Websense Category: Sex

Recommended Posts

My workplace uses Websense to limit our work web surfing. I know I know, "You shouldn't be playing games at work", but we're given 1 hour a day to surf - so i was going to catch up on some Wiki editing and got this message...

I'm not sure how these things work but the Wiki ended up classified as porn.

Anyway to get this set differently or is it a voter based category?

Or ask your system engineer to exclude that website from websense block

You got this error because I am simply too sexy... sorry for you but it seems that it can't be helped!

No, the problem is websense. It is a terrible system that is really, really terrible. I've never seen so many false positives. Its Wikipedia article has a whole subsection dedicated to the terrible false positives ffs.

Did I mention terrible? This is the system that, after all, classified squid-cache.org as an evil site..

Great now after this forum thread this will be X rated too.

You get an hour of work time to surf the net and play Wurm?

Do they have any openings?
