Posted January 8, 2013 How are you guys making third or higher floors without a second floor? I thought to plan a floor above you have to have the floor below already planned? For our Shipyards, I had to complete the 2nd floor and the roof then go back and destroy the floor tiles for on the 2nd floor to make the opening. I thought to plan a floor above you have to have the floor below already planned?I just build floors with openings since they use less materials and then go back and destroy them later.@Ragnarok, I love that arch way in the middle design, might steal that later @Windamere Nice, love it! Posted January 9, 2013 I still haven't replaced my missing roofs. Just have to say that there are some incredible buildings in this thread, and I hope more pictures continue to be posted even as the new-ness of multi-story wears off.Love seeing these all here and in the game. It adds *so* much to the environment! Actually, multi-story has turned out to be even more than I imagined. I am a chronic perfectionist/planner so you all are making the decision process for further developing my buildings incredibly difficult!

Posted January 11, 2013 Could you guys that have built multi-storey houses confirm if the walls on the second and higher floors count towards the formula that calculates the carpentry skill required? this one:(number of floor tiles) + (number of walls) = carpentry skill required
Posted January 11, 2013 It only factors in to the initial ground floor plan, amount of floors up you can go is based on your carp but other than that once you make the "footprint" of the building you're good to go.

Posted January 13, 2013 I find it hard enough to fill one floor with stuff, yet alone multiple floors. Atm I have my ground floor for BSB storage, and the 2nd floor for everything else; 1st floor is empty with nothing to put in there. So I honestly don't know how you people fill 8-10 floors with stuff. There just isn't enough content in this game to justify all that extra space.

I am slowly doing this to every building I have but I get in no hurry most of my stuff is still roofless.
