Bsb In Inventory Is Still "planted"

Recommended Posts

I have an empty BSB in my inventory. I examine it:

[13:21:49] A storage bin made from planks and strengthened with iron ribbons.
The bulk storage bin is firmly secured to the ground
. You can barely make out the signature of its maker, 'Ga.i.'. Ql: 33.20353, Dam: 0.0.

I can drop it, another player can pick it up, he can push it around, this all works. But if either of us tries to plant it, it errors:

[13:28:26] The bulk storage bin is already planted.

It's not planted, it's in my inventory. Multiple attempts to log, relog, use alts, board boats to reset UI, etc, have failed to resolve it. This doesn't happen with all BSBs, I can replant other ones fine.

In order to see if I could reproduce the bug, I made a new BSB, planted it, picked it up, and it's still stuck in "planted" state. So, even while in inventory, it says it's firmly attached to the ground, and upon trying to plant it, it says it's already planted. When dropped, it can still be pushed, pulled, and picked up by other players.

It's not a bug... it means you just need to drop it and it will be planted

It's a bug. If you drop it, it will be "planted" but anyone can pick it up anyway.

Not so, as stated above:

When dropped, it can still be pushed, pulled, and picked up by other players.

I can confirm this bug happens, and on travel to another server, the bsb looses the planted status (at least on the other server, not sure about same server). This also happens with FSBs
