Question About A Keybind (Double Click)

Recommended Posts

I wasn't sure if this should go in the maintenance section or not, figure there's no harm in it being here.

Does anyone know if there's a key bind for the double click action?

I've only just learned that it will perform target_or_examine - which isn't going so well with hell horse breeding.

I'd like to change it back to plain old examine.

No, nothing on the mouse can be directly used in a bind. I use an examine bind (M) and love it. It's great for examining aggros and for examining things as you walk / ride past. So now I only ever double click to target.

mouse2 should be the right click, which would prevent you from opening any menus.

mouse1 is the left click, but I don't know the definition for double click

Ah the Wurm does it the modern way round, left to right. Traditionally right was always mouse2 because some mouses did not have middle buttons, so naming the two buttons mouse 1 and mouse 3 would have been weird.

But I already have examine bound to a UI input, the double click ;)

I would much rather the ability to remove the target function from the double_click bind, as this is "default behavior" for me.

examine on spacebar is pretty neat.

That's a nice one, I've just done it ;)

Because we can do something with a double click it must be defined somewhere in the client and so it should be changeable, just maybe the console can't access it. I may bring it up with some of the client devs and see if they think it'd be possible, I can see how accidental horse breeding on the double click can be a big problem :L

It's becoming more humorous than anything now

"Just checking on the hellhorses"

*town suddenly catches on fire*

"you double clicked didnt you?"

"....maybe"
