Open Gl Error 7 Crashes...

Hi,

I have gotten over the hurdle I have of the client crashes I used to see but the open GL error 7 crashes have become as intolerable. I have noticed whenever a wild boar is near or next to me. I crash again and again. I might be crazy but I think there might be a problem with the boar coding?

I get the same error messages i used to have with the actual client crash as with the open GL crashes. It is making playing Wurm a not enjoyable experience.

Now interestingly enough, I went to help 2 new guys get their deed started up. There is a wild boar that has turned up in their area also. Seathre a player on Indi, had no issues with crashes until this boar showed up. I am watching him crash again and again also.

My console displays creature not found, does not exist. I opened it and watched what it said.

I am hoping this can be resolved. My PC specs and Java are the same as reported earlier to Enki and the others.

Please post your crashlog or hs_err_pid file on the desktop if it happens again.

The HS logs don't seem to appear on my desktop any more but i could post my console log when it happens?

Interestingly enough...I have been running a bit more stable on Unstable client with experimental ticked also. ( Absolutely love the gorgeous changes to the animals on Experimental btw...well done :) ))

All of this is the same as when I was getting the client crashes which have stopped and now the open gl has got worse. Does Enki remember me with Shalbrini (the GM) both having problems?

When Rolf was on holidays and we all waiting for him to return so he could look into the crashing.

This is different to the Buffer underflow problem.

It's probably a driver issue because I've never heard of an "OpenGL Error 7" before. A bit more details about what actually happens would be great.

Not sure what to tell you. It says your display driver has stopped working.

"The NVIDIA OpenGL driver lost connection with the display driver due to exceeding the Windows Time-Out limit and is unable to continue.

The application must close.

Error code: 7

Only does it with Wurm. I have found some thing new to try but no idea if it will fix the issue.

But I have noticed, if a wild boar is around it crashes me everytime with the above message. I will crash again and again upon relogging in until I can move far enough away from the boar.

However not one of these error logs is due to a boar being around. I was getting these same crashes with the client crashes I put on this forum. But they have stopped but the Open GL error 7 has taken over more often than it did with the client crashes.

I never used to have an issue with Wurm a year ago.

Sounds like an issue with a pack update. I would delete all your graphics packs and re-download. The network outage from last night seems to have cleared any buffer underrun problems I was having (For now anyway).

Hello Tealc,

I thought I had re installed before to see if I just had a bad batch of Wurm files but I re installed again and same deal. Just crashed with the Open GL error 7 message.

The fix I tried that someone suggested was to set my Nivid card phsix to CPU also didn't work so I will change that back to core auto again.

Can you try disabling PBuffer support please and put FBO to Extension (Compatibility options) See if that helps.

My final suggestion is disabling Ambient sounds (Or disabling sounds altogether). You will then be pretty much at the same config as I have with an NVidia GTX 460.

If altering your sound config does not help then you may have a hardware issue somewhere, I would suggest downloading a burn in tester, this should show up any potential hardware issues that are hiding away. (Suggest http://www.passmark.com/products/bit.htm )

Problem seem to be fixed after i uninstalled my java (i had 3 different java versions on my PC- don't ask me why) but yes... uninstalled the java and reinstalled the newest version

I tried the previous Java, version 6 but it still had all the problems so I went back to the newest java.
