Posted March 3, 2013 Thanks for the granger module, it looks really useful. I'm new to breeding, so this should help me a lot. I have a horse that isn't scanned correctly:Detected as horse with no traits at all:[12:22:30] You smile at Aged fat Piepot.[12:22:32] Horses like this one have many uses.[12:22:32] He is very strong and has a good reserve of fat.[12:22:32] The legs are of different length.[12:22:32] Mother is Old fat horse. Father is Aged fat horse.Horse that is detected correctly:[12:25:22] You smile at Adolescent fat Tearwind.[12:25:23] Horses like this one have many uses.[12:25:23] He is very strong and has a good reserve of fat.[12:25:23] It will fight fiercely. The legs are of different length.[12:25:23] Father is Old fat horse.

Posted March 3, 2013 (edited) A couple of minor bugs:- My animal husbandry skill isn't detected correctly - probably a decimal point problem since I use , instead of . for decimals? (my skill is 35.84)[12:29:59] ! Granger: Animal husbandry skill was adjusted from 358460 to 100[12:29:59] Granger: found out Geisha AH skill to be: 100[12:43:12] Animal husbandry increased by 0,00780 to 35,8539- Small nusiance - the trait panel of the default screen doesn't resize to show all 3 columns until I reduce the size of the first column (it shows a scroll bar at the bottom of the window). Resizing/maxmizing the granger window doesn't fix it since the vertical separator seems to be undragable. Screenshot: http://i.imgur.com/1Jsr0xg.pngFinally a suggestion:Would it be possible to add a column (possibly optional) where we can enter the color of the horse? It could default to "Unkown" if we haven't set it manually. Bonus point if the color selection actually colored something so it would be easy to see all the colors in a herd. I know the comment field could be used, but this would make it a lot more convenient. I am not asking for breeding suggestions for colors, just a manual field to help keep track. Posted March 3, 2013 DK, which part of it's info is not correct? On the first horse "The legs are of different length." trait is not detected. On the second horse "The legs are of different length." is detected correctly.
Posted March 3, 2013 I'll try to fix all bugs, but the suggestion... well I've noted it I doubt I'll have time to do it. Please use the comments for now.
Posted March 3, 2013 Cool.Would it be possible to make the inbreeding functionality ignore horses named "horse" (spawned in the wild) from being considered? Most of my horses are bred from wild ones (Pristine server), so granger thinks they're all related.
Posted March 3, 2013 (edited) Oh sure, that's a good idea. I'll add an option in next version.PS. You can select "do not ignore inbreeding", this will still treat them with penalty but it will match. Edited March 3, 2013 by Aldur

Posted March 4, 2013 I've done everything I can think of, but every time I open wurm assistant (any of the last 3 versions) it just immediately says "Wurm Assistant has stopped working." It still auto-updates, but it never actually loads. Help? I got the new .net framework, not sure what else could be the problem. I loved this program on my laptop but my desktop is giving me the devil of a time. I've tried restarting the computer, starting WA with and without wurm running.... Posted March 4, 2013 I have no clue what might be wrong, Cally. Are you running it with sufficient security level? Try running as administrator. If that didn't help:1. update to 1.4.0.212. run the program, if it still crashes...3. use this tool: https://www.dropbox.com/sh/rxl26w7yhjogc5k/spgB-rkTKU/Debug_Tools/WA_logextract.zipand send me the log, if it has anythingIf log shows nothing, you may try to remove all program data (backup first). You will find it in your user folder, for example in win 7:C:\Users\YourName\AppData\Local\AldurCraftRe-install is not needed, just run it afterwards and see what happens. If even that didn't help, you can try running a non-installer version:https://www.dropbox.com/sh/rxl26w7yhjogc5k/SEUor68FwIkeep in mind you need to update these manually and they always lag behind a bit. Posted March 5, 2013 Tried all of that no dice and nothing showed up in the log. It's very strange :/This is the error message:
Posted March 5, 2013 (edited) Yeah, it's the sound engine (signature 04). Most likely an issue with sound card drivers, what kind of sound card do you have? Could you try updating drivers?Oh, wait, one more idea, try manually installing VCredist (or repair if you already have it):http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=8328 Edited March 5, 2013 by Aldur
Posted March 5, 2013 I will ask my boyfriend to update my drivers for me when he wakes up. I thought I had but, I am not that tech-savvy and it probably is the issue. I had the devil of a time updating the graphics drivers on my laptop before Why do they make it so hard lol.

Posted March 6, 2013 Just wanted to stop by and thank you for all the hard work Aldur.I used it before but now with the Granger feature it is simply amazing. It rekindled my breeding ambitions and makes me play the game more again.
Posted March 6, 2013 All fixed, you're the best, and Granger is simply amazing. I do wish I could find the link to the granger instructions somewhere other than the opening thing D: I clicked it to open into a webpage and for whatever reason (that is probably my fault) it didn't, and I didn't realize, and now, woe. But that is such a minor niggle it's not even worth noting. I'm so glad to have WA back!
Posted March 6, 2013 (edited) I'm happy you like it Cally. The instructions you can also get with "help" button in granger (opens in your browser). Edited March 6, 2013 by Aldur

Posted March 6, 2013 (edited) Hey Aldur, it looks like I'm still having issues getting Wurm Assistant to properly communicate with my client. I updated to 1.4.0.21 today. The program boots up and I get these last two lines of code:[10:49:03] Debug: end history search for wurm date[10:49:32] Found active Wurm Online client, engine has been awakenedwhich seems to indicate to me things are fine. Whenever I login though the calendar shows this:Granger won't even begin to work because it doesn't look like the program is recognizing actions from the client beyond it opening. I'm using WIN Vista and have .net v4.0. Any ideas?edit: I also tried disabling Avast! in case that had something to do with it. No dice. Posted March 6, 2013 Could you search your logs and find the "welcome" message, the event that shows when you log in? Something like this:[17:58:12] Welcome back, Aldur! The Exodus server has been waiting for you.I'm thinking program doesn't recognize yours for some reason. As far as logs go, first tell me if your log still shows these lines for the char you want to use for granger:[18:03:58] Wrapped file: D:\Games\wurm\players\Aldur\logs\\_Event.2013-03.txtRemember granger will work only for your main character (whichever is set in character configuration window in program). If all above is set correctly, then try to use sound notify and check if it works for your characters at all.Since you are using Vista (with all it's lovely 1001 security solutions that I will never understand), it may help if you could run the program with 100% permissions, however it's done on that system. The equivalent of "run as administrator" on Win7.

Posted March 6, 2013 (edited) Ok I think I know now, how to fix the date issue. You can try downloading the standalone version (check first post here), there you start WA with proper .exe file. Also, you should try this:Engine -> Engine settings -> display new log entries in program logThis should start showing in WA any log messages, that appear in game. So you can verify that the program is actually reading things from every log. Edited March 6, 2013 by Aldur
