I got the 2nd copy to work. I do have 1 issue though. If I run the launcher, it's fine. If I run the batch file, it defaults to the original installation, even if it's run from the new folder.

It looks like Wurm won't recognize 2 installs anyway. :(

I guess I can make it work, though each copy will have too much data.

Try editing the batch file and adding -RelativeDataDirectory option. (Not sure I've worded that correctly, I think I've mentioned that parameter a couple times in the past of this thread)

I am getting a Info > GrangerFeature > creature data was invalid, data: (name: True, Gender: False, Parents: False, Traits: False, CaredBy: False)  every time i try to "smile" add a horse. Can it be because my husbandry is only 24 and i might not see it all, despite an examine does show me "he is very strong and has good reserve of fat.   It has fleeter movement then normal"

Im having some issues with this tool, i asked some people for help and after streaming it to them they recommended me asking for help here. I Started a Horse farm and added the horses to my herd in Granger, all of my horses are still adolescent, to prevent inbreeding i marked the wild parents with saddles with a name on it, now after adding the horses and try to see which one matches the breeding values go down to -500 and everything is red, i presumed it was because their parents are all horse, so i edited the names of the parents into their nicknames. That sadly did not help anything, one of the guys sent me his herd and it functions perfectly fine on my granger. I also went into advisor options and turned off the age exclude options to no avail, I also deleted my whole herd and tried to readd them and it did still not work.

i did not add all my horses all over again but it looks something like this.
(for this screenshot i removed all age exlude options in the advisor options)

To use wild horses or bison/sheep/cows you need to brand and name them in permissions before adding to granger. Only the mayor can name animals in this way.

none of these horses are wild horses only their parents are, or is this still a issue?

It's only an issue if you want to know which horse has which parent

so it won't properly show up in granger unless i brand all the wild breeding horses i used including the dead and burried ones?
Because on our deed we have another breeder and she just manually added them it worked just fine.

manually editing or adding parents works if they are dead. If they are alive, granger will throw errors the next time you try to smilexamine one.

Okay my second gen horses just came in which is why i wanted to use Granger to make it more easy on me, why does it look like this?? Why is the breed value of 2 none related horses with 2 and 3 traits between them a -10??

From what I understand, the breed value is being calculated based on the potential value of the horses, not the value that you currently see. It seems to be predicting that your horse likely has at least some of the negative traits, and as a result is assigning that negative breeding value based on it.

So how do i fix this? Improve my skill till i can't overlook any traits? Cuz i should be seeing all the worst ones already, even if the horse gets all the bad traits and then the worst one stacked on top of it, it would not be this low?
why does it have a -180?

You need 39AH to see all bad traits, and 41 to see all traits.

Thanks for noticing this. There is something weird: "Gender: False" in this log, which is why Granger refuses to add it to the list. It's also fishy there are no traits, as the ones you listed should have been picked up.

I've tested this on my old horses and they seem to work fine.

Could you paste Event window lines that you get after examining that creature?

Are you on Steam version?

@Baiabout breeding advisor. First of, I'm not entirely sure it's accurate. It was created based on breeding research many years ago, things might have changed or may have not been true in the first place, so I'd recommend to use this feature only as a hint, not an oracle.

With that disclaimer said...

@Arronicusis right, the breed value tries to guess quality of the outcome of a couple. ;) So for example, if two horses share a parent, the likelyhood of bad traits is high and so the breed value will be low. Exact value is not very important, more the difference to other candidates, so you can pick one with least risk of bad traits and most chance of many good ones.

As one developer has found out, each horse has unique ID, even wild horses. It's the thing that decides about inbreeding penalties! ID persists even if a horse dies, so parentless horses are NOT safe for inbreeding!

Granger is limited when it comes to inbreeding, as wurm does not show that ID anywhere. Best it can do is guess based on parent names. So my advise is to always name all horses that are taking part in breeding and never to clear parent names from imported creatures.

Also at low animal husbandry, there is an option for including potential bad traits in value. If that is on, any possible bad trait that can't be scanned, will be assumed to be present on a creature. Try to check if that option is on.

This looks like WA has not noticed your examine outputs, but it did notice the smile. I might be saying obvious things, but is examine done after less than 5 seconds since the smile?

Hi@Yuchdan

App does not work on linux yet. I've been working on a remake but it's going to take a while to finish, as I'm overworked atm.

I have been using wurm assistant all day and had it notify me when my favor hit max. After about 3 hours of it working fine, its stopped sending the norification. I've restarted the program and retoggled the setting but nothing seems to get it to work. The other timers seem fine

Has anyone else had a problem with the Seasons not displaying properly on the new Northern Freedom servers?

[20:58:24] It is 22:27:49 on Wrath day in week 2 of the starfall of the Leaf in the year of 1095.
Which should put us at: Leaf Starfall - Oleander (week 2), Camellia (week 4),

The problem is the Assistant is showing me that Olives are in Season with Maples coming up next.
Even though Assistant is showing "Wrath in week 2 of Leaf starfall" in the Assistant too when I pull up the Calendar.
