Hm well, there is DK 2, like Aetherwalker said. I loved the game, but sadly the AI doesn't work for the multiplayer mode.

And there was a newer game even, made by whatever company bought the rights on DK 1 / 2. I forgot how they named it, but you can surely find it via google. It plays on top of the earth though I believe.

But from what I heard, it wasn't very good. ^^

Wow Dungeon Keeper 3 was supposed to play above ground. Are you saying they actually made the game, but named it different?

Dungeons is pretty nice, it was inspired by Dungeon Keeper but got a decidedly different gameplay.

Aye Ive played DK 1 and 2, and sadly the third one was never made. When Bullfrog was snatched up I heard the rights were passed around a little with some gaming news arising once in a while.

I had heard of Impire, which inspired the thread to see if any other similar were around.

Well there's Dungeons which is not half bad indeed and Evil Genius is pretty much quite fitting the type.

From myself I would recommend giving Overlord and Overlord IIa try (I think I liked the first the most). It's not really a managment type of game, still, there's something really enjoyable about personally commanding a horde of crazed imps...

PS: Don't you just wish you could properly mine and arm dungeons like this in Wurm sometimes? Traps, hidden walls and all that...

It's definitely worth getting, just DON'T expect a Dungeon Keeper clone.

You know Dungeons and Denizens? It's that kind of dungeon.

Less keeping them out with sinister traps and vile monsters, more entertaining them with treasure chests, loot and mob hunting,... just to crush them on the way out <(-¦{

Come to think of it... is there a halfway decent DK mod for Dwarf Fortress. Something beyond just an evil race that doesnt have the same butchering hangups as dwarves.

Like building mods.
