Posted December 14, 2008 As i was looking back I realized that its close to christmas time again, which was when i first started playing Wurm all those years ago. Over there years I have seen wurm grow from from a small 4kmx4km map to 3 servers 16kmx16km large. From 6 or 7 players to a few hundred, from a few items and skills to a catalog worth. I created Whosville at the base of what was called Crater mountian with Oneeye and then eventually haraldstern, where it grew to the entire valley and only 1 of 2 major active towns then, Kaedens Town. My first building was a 1x1 building that became the center of the town. Some memorial players joined Whosville back then when our only aspect was to grow, build, and watch new items or changes come into play almost daily. Of the few i want to mention like Unforgiven, our former head GM, joined Whosville close to the first Wurmageddon, where we remained friends up until is departcher. I also experienced my first terriforming project we labeled "Jake's Folly". The first landbridge ever created and i was honored to be among the few who worked on it. i coudl go on for hours with the memories I have accumlated over there years and as another christmas I hold a toast to all those that currently play. I would also like to dedicate this last verse of a song to those that have left us.....may they one day return On the 12th day of christmas, Whosville gave to me 12 iron lumps a glowing 11 grindstones a grinding 10 spindles improveing 9 fields a growing 8 wetstones a sharpening 7 cloths a stitching 6 ores a smelting 5 Golden rings 4 beds for resting 3 dogs a roming 2 swords a swining And a half decayed meal in a bucket Merry Christmas Wurm, heres to another year Horton Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
