Posted June 11, 2012 It has been customary in this forum to post a "+1" if one likes a Post. Now the new forum even has an "I like" button for this purpose on the right side of each post. This has the advantage of getting automatically counted and keeping the discussion tidy.It seems thoiugh that a lot of people haven't caught on to this. Still posting their ones.So I just wanted to point it out here again.
Posted June 11, 2012 When you post a +1 it also bumps the thread so others can see it, i think that is why a lot of people do it.
Posted June 11, 2012 Plus if you want to add something to the discussion, the button is of no help.

Posted June 11, 2012 When you post a +1 it also bumps the thread so others can see it, i think that is why a lot of people do it.I wished there was an option to ignore updates to specific threads and sub forums. Mindless bumps only hide newly added real content.

Posted June 11, 2012 Would be an idea if there was an option to "ignore this topic" say along with the follow this topic choice.

Posted June 13, 2012 Wheres the -1 button? exactly, below "Like This" is missing "Dislike This" button so-1 for this topic and second -1 because "Like This" button looks too much facebook style, yuck
Posted June 13, 2012 (edited) exactly, below "Like This" is missing "Dislike This" button so-1 for this topic and second -1 because "Like This" button looks too much facebook style, yuckThere is actually a dislike button, it's just hidden using CSS. If you poke around in the source code of the page you can see it's there. It probably wouldn't take too much work to show it and rename them to +1 and -1 to make them less "facebooky".Edit: Nvm that's the unlike button that appears after you like the post. Posted June 13, 2012 and second -1 because "Like This" button looks too much facebook style, yuckYes, this pretty much. Not to mention, all the likes go directly to someone's profile which is even more lame. The more likes you get the shinier your profile looks !!11
