When i try to attach huge halebard Head to the staff i get moslty fails (8% chance), but its not an issue

When i fail i get weapon bonus :

[11:30:45] Staff increased by 0.0136 to 4,636

and

[11:26:38] Polearms increased by 0.0138 to 5,457

with ocassional smithing gains.
