Posted December 3, 2008 Just noticed from yesterday that booting my PC takes a very long time (3-5 minuntes), and after about 5 minuntes after i connect to the internet my Browsers refuse to load any more pages, trough i can play Wurm and chat on Yahoo just fine. I think this is the work of some virus and want to know if anyone has any ideas on how to fix my computer without reinstalling Windows. P.S. Sory for the bad spelling but my 5 mins are almost over. Posted December 3, 2008 Download avast, it's extremely good at cleaning up virii messes considering its free. Try the boot-time scan, or boot up in safe mode and manually remove files that avast can't remove automatically. AdAware is also a useful software for removing evil-doing software. Download it onto a USB stick elsewhere if your 5 mins of Internet isn't enough. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
Posted December 5, 2008 The browser is not the problem, i used Firefox and Iexplorer for that and neither worked but nvm i got some help ingame, Installed AVG, AdAware and SpyBot, 2 hours worth of scaning later everything came to normal. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

Posted December 6, 2008 Norton seems alot slower to me for some reason. It seems to start up slower than AVG and AVG works just as well for viruses. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
