class.jF: Could not copy graphics.jar to graphics.jar.bak

Here is the log. I have seen a mod say to close all clients but there was no other clients open while trying to DL the pack updates. It does this every time. It seems to get to 100% and then fails.

Have you tried rebooting? Check for free disk space remaining.

Sometimes clients get stuck and are only visible as leftover processes in the task manager which you have to kill from there.

I also had a problem with this tonight.  I went through the usual steps, restart, cold reboot, stopped Java related processes in Task Manager, deleted Temp files, etc.  Then did a complete uninstall of Wurm (manually deleted the remaining directories/files afterwards).  I also copied all of my Wurm files to another location so I could recover the config files so I wouldn't have to redo my key bindings and such.  Still wasn't working.

Did a full scan with my AV and it found some issues in my Java files.  Uninstalled all Java and manually deleted what was left.  Reinstalled Java from the link on Wurm's homepage.

That fixed it for me.  In my case it seems like I picked up a virus that was hiding in Java.

After finally updating this file we started seeing the Blackhole exploit warning messages.

I recommend you dont update. There is another thread about this.

1. Close out of Wurm

2. Check running processes for any stuck java ones that would be Wurm

3. Relaunch Wurm, see if it works this time. If not, repeat 1-3 one or two times.

If the above doesn't work:

1. Reboot and try again

If you don't want to reboot, or the reboot doesn't work:

1. Go to where you have installed Wurm

2. Open packs folder

3. Delete graphics.jar

4. Relaunch Wurm

I ran into this error tonight.

This is what I did.

1).  Exit out of Wurm.

2).  Open Task Manager on my Win7 box and ended the process called, "jp2launcher.exe"   Java(TM) Web Launcher.

That program was a stuck version of the game.
