Posted November 30, 2008 I will try and keep as much of this as possible, typed. Oblivion.. 16 sq. miles (Morrowind was 10) 150+ quests 40+ creature types Over 9,000 objects 200+ Dungeons The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion is a RPG, one of the most epic medieval-magical type RPG's there is! (That has good graphics). With Oblivion we get too explore Cyrodiil, and witness a plot against the king unfold, with a glorious end.. at the end.. :v:. In Oblivion, you can own houses, there is untold.. dozens of armor sets, hundreds of weapons, dozens of shields, a crazy amount of npc's in the forests and grasslands of Cyrodiil that will keep you busy, and an.. Interesting leveling system too boot! You can join factions, be a thief, a evil bastard that kills a bit too much, a rich collector that has a bit too much time on his hands, And even a vampire! Plus, with a Official Plug-in for it, you can be a pirate too :yarr:! It is played on PC, 360, and PS3. It has classes, but these really only provide boosts, you could start magic like, then go to swords and shields, but you will have a serious disadvantage. But, your not limited too what you start with! Here are the classes, and what they have/specialize in! (note: there are 3 types, combat, stealth, and magic) First Column: class Second Column: Specialization Third Column: Attributes Acrobat-------Stealth------Agility, Endurance Agent---------Stealth------Agility, Personality Archer--------Combat-------Agility, Strength Assassin------Stealth------Intelligence, Speed Barbarian-----Combat-------Speed, Strength Bard----------Stealth------Intelligence, Personality Battlemage----Magic--------Intelligence, Strength Crusader------Combat-------Strength, Willpower Healer--------Magic--------Personality, Willpower Knight--------Combat-------Personality, Strength Mage----------Magic--------Intelligence, Willpower Monk----------Stealth------Agility, Willpower Nightblade----Magic--------Speed, Willpower Pilgrim-------Stealth------Endurance, Personallity Rogue---------Combat-------Personality, Speed Scout---------Combat-------Endurance, Speed Sorcerer------Magic--------Endurance, Intelligence Spellsword----Magic--------Endurance, Willpower Thief---------Stealth------Agility, Speed Warrior-------Combat-------Endurance, Strength Witchhunter---Magic--------Agility, Intelligence They also each have specific skills, 21 in all. I will list the skills, but not for each class, sorry . Combat Armorer, Athletics, Blade, Block, Blunt, Hand-2-Hand, Heavy Armor Magic Alchemy, Alteration, Conjuration, Destruction, Illusion, Mysticism, Restoration Stealth Acrobatics, Light Armor, Marksmen, Mercantile, Sneak, Speechcraft attributes * Agility * Endurance * Intelligence * Luck * Personality * Speed * Strength * Willpower With all those class's, you'd think every one would be satisfied with one, right? Wrong, At least I, but no doubt Several others find that a mixture of several classes in order, and because of that, Oblivion has a Custom Class! Where you can make your own class. You choose between Combat, Magic, Stealth, you also choose 7 skills, and 2 attributes. You also get too choose a birth sign, further affecting how you start! Moving on, Oblivion also offers a Hero/Criminal approach. Where, as a Hero, people know you for good deeds (fame). And, as A criminal, people know you as some one who.. does bad things... huh.. Basically you murder towns, good for you . You can even catch diseases in Oblivion! There are a fair amount of them, So I'll just post a picture from the wiki. And, incase your wondering how big it is.. well, here is a map! Now for image spam if what it looks like! Go scenery! Bad ol' skeleton.. Close to the imperial city. Come here big dude, I shall chop you with my axe! Farms.. with plants.. Image of imperal city, not the best quality, but it's a picture of it! Poor people's town . Offical Expansion, Shivering Isles, shot. I.. see.. trees :tinfoil: edit: I decided too add more information before I posted it, I guess personal experiences and thoughts.. So, If you play it, great! If not, for shame! But really, this game is an amazing rpg, it just needs better gameplay in some spots. However, if there was ever a lack of weapons, armor, shields… anything, there are tons of mods out there for every single need you have! If something you want isn’t in the game (be realistic, who the hell is going to make flying cars) I’d be surprised. And, if you couldn’t find it, chances are it is made, you’re just not looking hard enough or it’s still in development. Or, maybe, just maybe, they didn’t release it too the public. However, getting mods can be difficult, as they all have to work with each other. If they don’t, crashes and such happen, which is NOT cool . Now, I personally use several mods from this list: http://aelius28.googlepages.com/ But, remember, half the stuff there is for tessource.com, Which is gone, They changed too tesnexus.com. Most of it is there, and if it's not, there is always the gamespy site, which has most of what tesnexus has, if not more. Moving on, I myself use tons of mods that add houses and such. I'm the collector type. Which, if you are a collector, there are tons of mods you will love. Here are some of my favored mods: http://tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=11581 100% harvest chance (because picking a mushroom shouldn't be a hit or miss) http://tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=2978 (use it if you already beat the main quest) alt start http://tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=11478 (people have torches) http://tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=7615 (guards use torches) http://tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=3504 (changes times to ours) http://tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=2582 book placement http://tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=2886 book placement wine addon http://tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=5957 more hotkeys, rather useful http://tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=5977 guard overhaul http://tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=3138 disguises mod I don't want too alter your opinion of what is good or not too much, so that is all our put. I think those are rather extremely useful, however that's a very very small amount of the mods I have installed. My word, your right! It has an epic sound track . DONE! i wanna hear what mods you guys use because I like my dwemer skyship and pirate isle (although it glitched my mission bad : asd ??? ???.

Posted November 30, 2008 I like oblivion, I started playing it again. Vanilla Oblivion looks like a pile of dung if you tried QTP3 and other texture replacers though Ironic how these textures are 8 times bigger than the medium textures I used to use, yet it runs just as smooth.
