wurm doesn't work

lauched wurmclient and nothing happened, have latest java. this happened after reinstalling windows 7.

my deed is waiting for me -.-'

Any ideas ? ???

the log file you posted was from a clean run... it doesn't seem as though you are getting a log file from a crash, so we still need more information.  Are you trying to launch wurm from the web link or from a desktop shortcut?  Please try the link from the website and report the results.

Did this happen on a laptop after upgrading to Win7? Perhaps it is lacking supporting drivers and trying to use default windows display drivers for an integrated chipset?

Did you try to uninstall/delete wurm from your computer and download again?  I would do the same with java just to make sure.

not laptop but PC.

Reinstalled, after that installed drivers/programs as usual

firstly put wurm folder with all passwords etc in documents folder and launched, nothing, deleted still nothing...

Also tryed reinstalling java

Its highly unlikely to be caused by Graphics issues as I have never heard of anyone with NVidia problems, especially a card that new.

The only other possible cause could be your sound card/drivers. Could you try disabling Ambient sounds, if that doesn't work try disable sound (in the wurm options) altogether and see what happens.

When you say "nothing happened" do you mean that you get the launcher to come up? or no? Or do you click play and the launcher closes but the client doesn't come up? Or does the client come up blank?

I am potentially having the same problem.  Launching the wurmclient.jnlp (or the unstable one, or clicking the website link) gives this:

-Javaws starts and the "Wurm Online" baby splash screen comes up.

-The download of the jars appears in a window to the right.  All the jars download and the window disappears.

That's it.  The splash screen stays up.  The game login window doesn't appear (or even attempt to appear).  Looking at the processes open, there are 2 java processes (92.1 MB used in one, 48.0 MB used in other) and 2 javaws processes (200 kb in one, 192 kb in other) that sit there doing nothing with wait flags lit up.  No change in the memory, so these are zombie threads I have to kill from the process list.

I'm running SuSE 12 with brand new ATI card.  So if I have what Marty has, then it isn't a video issue or a Windows issue.  The SuSE install is new, but I have run Wurm on it back early March (before I went overseas for a month and a half).

If you are using OpenJDK, there was a recent bug with javaws that affected us:

I launched wurmclient and nothing happened ( wurm client doesn't appeared )...

just process in task manager, i waited some hours while playing other game still nothing  :-\

Java Web Start sometimes manages to corrupt it's own cache files, which can lead to the launcher not starting or other weirdness.

Try the following:

1) Start -> run

2) Type "javaws -viewer"

3) Wait for the "Java cache viewer" window to open

4) Right click any lines mentioning wurm and click delete

5) Try running the game again

Java Platform SE binary has stopped working.

Launched other java game. If somebody have solution for it write, it can solve this wurm problem

Ugh... if you can't open the cache viewer i'd guess that means your java installation is FUBAR. Try reinstalling it.

Just curious but are you a 32bit windows or 64bit and do you have the correct version of java installed?  I couldn't get wurm to work on my win7 64bit til I installed the 64bit java, and the 64bit java isn't listed on the main java download page.. I had to dig around for other versions on their site.
