living with 4 guys that are all probably watching adult movies. Usually get 80 Download Mb/s & 15 Upload, though we only recently moved in and set up our internet speed, so it's dramatically dropped in the last week.

Unfortunately my DSL is pathetically slow in comparison, so I use this quite a bit, it's expensive tho :X

Feeling pretty good there even though it used a server in a whole different country! :)

Not sure what the exact price is because we have a bundle and my sister handles the bill, but this service by itself would be $50 - $60 CDN.

Also a speed test from my VPS (kinda cheaty), not the fastest I've had (got 440 down before) but I can't find the links to any of the faster tests and I cba to install gnome and xrdp just to do more.

Ping: 55ms

Download speed: 19.66 Mbps

Upload speed: 1.95 Mbps

Virgin Media and I pay in between £20 - £25 a month.

However, this is a laptop on wireless and the internet is generally faster the closer to the living room / modem I go, and if I wire it it gets a lot faster.

Yes, I pay $45 / month for this.

Yes, Sasktel considers themselves on the FOREFRONT of technology.

Yes, we the customer gets the left-overs.

Here's why:

The cold of Canada wreaks havoc on light signals causing fiber optic lines to fog up causing traffic delays on the major highway that the 3 residents of Saskatchewan are travelling on. So they sit and wait while the farmers discover telephone banking while driving their combine with a 42 foot header down the road during rush hour on a Friday night. That's OK though because all the hicks are sitting in the bar getting drunk on whiskey and rye singing "American Pie" waiting for their packets to come through Canada Post being delivered on the back of a pick-up truck, probably a Ford, belonging to the red-neck next door.

So you see, high speed, is relative.

Cmon, you're not even trying ;)

Unfortunately results above 1Gbps are discarded, but I have got as high as ~2750Mbps - apparently this is a 10Gbps server.

From the ISP it says I'm going to take a stab and say it's an EC2 instance, either high IO or one of the cluster ones going by the speed. Also that speed over that distance and with that ping is incredible :D
