Bad glitches with client

I play on fullscreen mode and often while playing I tab out of the window to browse the web etc. Sometimes when I do this when I tab back to wurm I get a big freeze while it tries to load the screen then I get this:

I cant move or talk and everythings frozen as if at 0fps. Its really annoying and The only way to get rid of it is to relog by starting up another client and booting the old one off.

Any idea if its my end or the client? I been getting em for a while now after the latest client update I think.

Does the UI respond? E.g. can you write things in text fields, toggle the console and other windows? What does the FPS counter say? Is the black area there or is that something you removed?

I cannot write. Cannot toggle windows. Have not seen the fps since i cant toggle windows. The black GUI windows are like that from the glitch. The red block over the event window is what added.

Is there anything in the console log? Make sure you check this after the client has locked up, but before restarting it.

How much RAM do you have and what graphics driver version is installed?  Have you recently updated the driver?

Do you have the same problem with JOGL and LWJGL?

And why should I get a new PC when this is likely something wrong with the client not me.

It only happens to you, so I wouldn't say _likely_. We can add some extra debugging code to the next test client, but until then there's really nothing we can do without a way to reproduce.
