Meanwhile in the Rat Inn .... (Song)

Recommended Posts

As the cold winds, driven hard form the North,  bent the trees double across the road, and the dark clouds shrouded the moon in winters vicious grip, a stranger pulled his cloak tight around him and fought the storm to the doors of the Rat Inn ....

That was really nice, I like how your Wurm songs (this one in particular because of the voice acting) gets ones imagination going :)

Can you write down the lyrics please? It's kinda hard to understand the awesome accent :( Is that a hardcore british accent?

British accent with a cold, actually. NB - now rerecorded

Lizzy:   Good Eve, Sir. Cold Night

Stranger: Aye

Torsen: Give 'im something to warm 'imslef, Lizzy!

Lizzy:  Hush with yer mouth, Torsen! So what will you be having, stranger? We got ourselves a special Spider Liver and Beef pie, nice 'n' hot. Straight from the oven it is, with our own bread

Stranger:  Aye, well sounds like it will do its job. And a goodly splash of ale to wash it down, me thinks.

Lizzy: Well sits yerself down by the fire. The girl will bring you a jug. Bard! Strike a tune and earn yer keep!

Bard:

Lately I have wondered

While looking at the hills

Are you out there fighting as you will

Maybe if you are

Is there something I can do

From far away in winter's heavy chill

And I know

When it's late at night

I will dream of you now

Through the snow

Through the winter's storm

I can still dream you now

Talk about the war

Men will always talk

Of brave and noble deeds

From the safety of the ale jug round the fire

And women keep it stoked

With promises of joy

Than lose their children to the bloody mire

And I know ...

Also, could we have different accents for different kingdoms? Just a thought, could be used one day.

Back on topic: I want to know; how long did it take to make that Gurubear? It sounds like a lot of work went into it  ;D

I checked the MySpace profile, too. But unfortunately it seems that when paths seperated, it was removed, too. :( It's so sad, it almost makes me cry. :'S

Yer got to write it "should have" or "should've", although it might sound as "of". Raising the next question, if ye post that in every thread that's a little aged and why? I was listening te old bard's old songs and stumbled upon the writs o' this one, too, and I wondered where the recording went te.
