Wall Towers

A wall tower structure, which you can build and will occupy one whole tile with collisions enabled, which uses the crows nest feature as a position to view and fire arrows from. No need for walls you can walk on or anything complicated.

To enter it, you just walk up to it and click, enter and you are teleported up. When you exit, you are teleported to a the door.

Yes, it has probably been suggested alot, but would it really be too hard to make a tile with collisions a crows nest function?

enable them to be catapulted to.

yeah, and people in them can be shot at with arrows. But not meelee

there should be a chance that they fall of and take damage whenever a catapult hits the tower.

All of this. They need to be able to fall into the walls or outside them.

I imagine falling outside the walls during a seige would be bad thing.  :D

this is actually a very intuitive answer to an age old demand from the player base.

There should also be a raiding vehicle similar to the stationary tower.  If anyone recalls the Movable Siege towers of long ago.  They were made to breach walls, without actually taking down the wall.  Now im not saying that these should be implemented for that purpose, but i do believe that an equally viable Archery Tower should be implemented for a raiding force.

There should also be a DMG amplifier for an archer in the tower hitting someone on the ground.

Lets not get ahead of ourselves, siege weapons can come later (I hope :D).

It would just be nice for defenders and attackers to be able to attack each other during sieges without waiting for the gatehouses to come down.

- 1 tile tower with collisions

- Needs to be placed with 1 tile space between (like buildings)

- Crows nest position for 1 or maybe more defenders

- Not much stronger than stone wall, if atall.

- Defenders get defense and maybe slight damage, or accuracy boost.

For simplicity in entering and exiting, maybe make it a building with a max plan size of 1 tile and only one placeable door. To enter/exit you click the door wall to get the option (so you can't use it as a teleporting gate house). Since it is a building with a crows next position you could also place arrow/bow storage inside it.

This is a bump.

I'd like to bump this, because now that kingdom wars and home raiding is in operation I think it seriously needs to be considered.

At the moment the only defense to a deed is melee and walls, surely we should be able to shoot at attackers with arrows?
