have missions give points to champions aswell

i could see this being as another "relief" for champions so they dont have to worry about the current system being too much

i could see them giving about 2-3 pts depending on how hard they are?

+1 except I'm not sure I agree with 2-3 pts, we'd have to see if thats too easy to maintain a champ with I guess.

i said 2-3 because thats what seems to be the average span for a mission, but i see your point

So if the champ does the mission or part of it he gets points instead of sleep bonus?

i would say both, but thats fine too i guess

also i'd say there's a "base" points, i.e 3 per mission, and depending on how much % he does of the mission, he gets that much

i.e mission is kill 3 mobs or something, he kills 1 and i kill 2, he gets 1 point

I already suggested something like this in two other threads.  However, I +1 any idea for champs having to remain champs based on their participation in the missions.

+1 champ should have to be the one who finishes the mission though

idk... putting the last part onto an obelisk would be a little too easy.  Killing the last animal of a mission too etc.  It would have to be coded to include how much of the mission a champ did to be on more of a balanced side imo.

yeah another good idea

i.e missions in enemy home servers give more, and if it's like, preforming a ritual on a enemy tower, etc.

no, i don't think you should put MORE pressure as it is to becoming a champ and maintaining it

you already lose a point daily anyways

If you focus champing/dechamping around  missions with no negative effects it evens out.  Do enough missions you champ.  Don't do them, you dechamp.

One Question:  Why should it be easier to be a champion??

i'm actually with the high risk/reward system we had before, but right now it's pretty much nearly impossible to stay champ longer then 2 weeks

just not nearly as many deeds or people with high enough fs to fight (willing to, anyways)

it's just a pain, before we had the problem of champs idling and doing nothing, if we allow a alternative of doing missions it means they have another option other then constantly raiding deeds (if they can find enough to do so, without being some nearly unraidable deed)

However, if Rolf is able to fix missions as he says on the upcoming/to be done page... Then missions could actually be more pvp oriented (as they were intended?).

Champions are a deeply and fundamentally broken feature.

They are not worth Rolf's time to try (and fail) to  tweak them into balance.

Anything that lets a champ hang around longer than 15 days or so simply resuscitates what ought to be a corpse.

Maybe it should be only 1 person per god gets chosen for champion status and after one month it randomly switches to the next eligible player.
