Posted February 3, 2012 Specifically, Life transfer i've not been able to test this myself, so if any wlers would it'd be nice LT steals a % of damage dealt, the specific percent i don't know - Clarification here on % would be nice The main question is, does the lifesteal kick in before, or AFTER damage mitigation? Like, say you're using a weapon that always deals 50 damage on a unarmored person, and you hit 50, now let's just assume the life steal is 50%, so you'd heal for 25 now, what if the person is armored? your damage is now 20 (again, another scenario), would you heal for 25 still, or 10? AoSP has a mechanic where it deals damage based on it BEFORE mitigation (i.e 50% damage reflected on a 50 hit blow would hurt them for 25, but after mitigation you only really took 20, effectively making it impossible for you to die 1v1 against that person, as they would die first)
Posted February 4, 2012 I have been using a ~70LT sword when hunting. I've not seen much difference in the amount of HP transferred between lets say, scorpions or trolls. it's usually in the area of 3-5% per successful hit.
Posted February 4, 2012 What does LT actually do? Heal your wounds partly?
Posted February 4, 2012 Yes, LT heals you when you strike the target with a LT weapon. The tradeoff is that LT weps generally do not hit as hard. On Wild, mainly used for quick healing on tower guards or mobs, or if you find yourself in a jam against higher numbers.
Posted February 4, 2012 I know when fighting uniques, you can deal a 1 damage wound and heal for like 3% health where on normal animals you would have to deal for example 20 damage to heal for 3%
Posted February 4, 2012 Currently using 97LT longsword. While using this Sword, I am able to regenerate all of my health back by the end of the fight against most creatures. I've noticed that it heals approximately 5-7% when hitting deadly hards. Don't quote me on this but it feels as though the healing is based on the amount of damage you initially do before soak/effect is calculated but the problem with this theory is that I haven't really looked into it in details and the numbers are just too small and insignificant to draw a definitive conclusion. Posted February 4, 2012 Afaik it works like myc and heals one wound at a time. The bronze hammer of mag heals like 10-20 damage a hit iirc.
Posted February 4, 2012 It's a percentage of the damage done as well as a percentage of the quality of the Life Transfer. It does not heal multiple wounds - only up to one at a time.
Posted February 5, 2012 I thought It returned health depeneding on the damage you did with the strike. So if the cast is around 70 and you do 12dmg wound, it would heal you 6hp: 50% etc...
