First issue, Mol-Rehan is a Pay To Play server, so why do we have such bad lag issues, and capped veins?

The lag needs to be fixed because there's only ever 16 people on at a time and veins should be uncapped. I know it isn't a wild server but everyone on here pays to be here, yet there's hardly any advantage to it.

Second issue, JK Home is severely overcrowded, thus extremely laggy.

We need another free server for all the F2P and P2P people that don't want to be on Wild or MR Home. This would drive more players to become premium if the playing conditions were nicer where they are.

New Idea: Make MR Home Free to Play, there are no benefits from being here anyway.

what your asking needs seperate polls, the cap should remain, the lag just shouldnt be there end of. jk-home is extremely crowded, maybe there could be a second map later on which is BL home, open to free players as well? :) farm some BL numbers ^^

The servers are only meant to hold 500 people But JK Home has 1/5 of that and it's terribly laggy and heavily overcrowded.

Yes I like the Idea of BL Home, though it's confusing because it isn't exactly a kingdom.

MR home should be free to play...it is the same as JK home which is a free server.  A place to meet people and gain skills before attempting wild.

Where are the options "Remove MR-h" and "Uncap veins on JK-h"?

This didn't seem a good idea to me for various reasons so I didn't put it.

mr home should just go F2P anyway, a prem only start avoided alot of hassle but there wasnt the premium player base to account for both the mr on home and wild to begin with. if you could have non prems on there more people would be start there and though many might be alts it would lead to more premium players in the long run.

just my opinion anyway :P

A server is overcrowded when the server 1. Reaches its maximum capacity, OR 2. Is terrain-wise out of space to support players and their villages (that does not equal free terrain in the central areas of the map. Those areas will always be crowded for obvious reasons).

JK-Home is laggy because the server cannot cope with the excess item count. Not because it has too many players.

The intended advantages of MR-H is a dedicatedly Premium-Only server, to cater premium players who does not wish to share space with non-prems. The reason it has capped ore is because Rolf wants ore to be an incentive for PvP. I fail to see the logic behind that (ore has nothing to do with PvP, what the heck, find something that makes more sense), but oh well.

I guess a dedicated premium server was in fact not as appreciated by prems as imagined?

So even though it has not reashed it's 'land' capacity, it is reaching it's player capacity because of the items produced by players. Decay has traditionally been very lenient to say the least. This is because Wurm has not ever had a playerbase of this size previously, and thus the consequences of having this many players on one server can only be observed now.

There is no way in hell Rolf could have predicted exactly how much strain a larger playerbase would add to the item database.

If MR home turned F2p there would need to be a way for F2p people on JK home to get there without crossing the wild server because they can't. So to solve this plan the devs could make the servers a globe, like the earth, on the east side of JK would be MR, West side, Wild, and MR would still be connected to wild.

Both home servers have capped veins to make you goto the wild server where there is 'risk' to get your high ql ore

Whats the point of another server? the ones we have are so underutilised.

And no, MR home is and should be P2P, the whole idea of it was for Paying customers who do not want PvP and do not want F2P players

If you removed the ore cap on MR Home then i would argue why is there one on JK home (as F2P players cant mine above 20ql)

from what i have seen of wild no one is fighting over ores.

as there isnt many players so plenty to go around.

Home servers should keep the ore caps. It's a cushy lifestyle, so you get cushy materials. As far as I see, high ql ore veins are a luxury, not a fact of life. If you want higher than 50, you best take on everything else with it.

And all the people whining that mr-h should be free and it has no benefits rah rah rah. Don't you think playing the game sans all the annoying dumb people who don't pay to play is a benefit?

I swear, mr-h is full of people with entitlement complexes. You live in a pvp safe zone, no, you aren't entitled to high ql ore. I'm not even a wild player and even I can see that.

A good fix to the decay is: Make more, smaller servers, Instead of 16km by 16km, slice it up into mabye 4 8kmx8km servers. Allow inter server chat.

Each server will support it's own area, thus making smaller databases, and less lag.

Personally I only have about 1/10 of a second lag on wild server, and only had slightly more than that on JK home. Unless MRhome server is crap, it should be enen less lag.

i barely lagged on either of the three servers. the only time it's bad is during backup.

Actually, MR has frozen up and been unable to log in several times in the past couple months because of it.

And dividing the servers into 8x8 is not a solution, this means 4x the operating costs at the same income rate.
