Posted January 10, 2012 Mine is still 1QL sitting offdeed empty. Never picked it up again after drop in my garden. Only used it once. I can't recall all postings, but it seems when you put something inside a gnome, it's QL goes up? For those with empty gnomes inside a container , did you ever put something in it and took it out? Maybe it triggers something. I'm gonna try to put something in and leave it outside tonight.
Posted January 10, 2012 I can't help but notice that we keep experimenting with an object, that has the intended purpose of being a garden/lawn ornament, by putting it *inside* containers. This makes little sense to me. Why would an item, that increases in QL if kept in a container, have the look and description of an item meant to be outdoors? We must be missing something. Or, and this is entirely possible, it's just WurmLogicâ„¢.

Posted January 11, 2012 Quick read first guess. You charge up the gnomes quality perhaps to a set level perhaps not. Put something inside the gnome outside of the chest and watch it suspend decay until the gnome quality reaches perhaps 1 or a set level. Then gnome needs recharging. Posted January 11, 2012 That theory could be tested now. Has anybody taken their gnome out of the container and witnessed a decrease in QL or increase in DMG?
Posted January 11, 2012 That theory could be tested now. Has anybody taken their gnome out of the container and witnessed a decrease in QL or increase in DMG? No, tested with tools meals sprouts etc. Still 5.70 ql off deed in boat. Out of boat off deed no difference.

Posted January 17, 2012 Garden Gnome at 2.94 QL. Have had cake slices in it for two weeks now and it's only at 40 DMG. At this point I'm almost sure that it's a meal preserver.

Posted January 17, 2012 Hide them good. Bandits broke in just to take my gnome. I can tell he put up a good fight. Gnome scuffle marks in the garden. We are building a posse now. You can run but they have short legs.
Posted January 17, 2012 No news to update. Nothing happenin here, we don't know what it does and most likely it is bugged anyway if it even has a use. lol

Posted January 17, 2012 What usefulness would something like this have? Yes, it may prolong food/drink decay, but at what cost? It doesn't hold very much, and it's 20Kg to carry around. Not very practical as storage for a long journey. And why design such a thing to be a garden gnome, and not a jar? I still think we're missing something bigger. The hat glows in the dark in a way similar to Spirit Templar... I want to get pictures each time it goes up in ql
Posted January 18, 2012 Odd, I know I posted somewhere about the potential for it to be a light source, but because it's such low QL atm, it's not really visible. Not sure which thread I put that in (had a look back through this one).
