Wurm Server Travel Map (Overmap)

Recommended Posts

Wurm has grown to the point where servers and travel options between them are no longer easily explained (I was already confused when I started, and that was before the Epic cluster was added). So I've made an attempt to put them all on one overview map.

Constructive feedback appreciated (thanks for everything so far).

Update: Now clickable map (with links to server maps and their forum threads, Valrei map, etc.). Also lots of content updates.

Last time i was on Golden Valey you could go to Epic and Wild from there directly not only to Freedom

Looks good, but how about the portals from GV -> Wild, Epic and homeservers?

How does that work, do you get a choice of which Epic kingdom to join? In which location do you spawn on Epic then?

And where do you spawn on Wild if you pop out of the Tutorial?

Thanks for the feedback everyone, making some updates. I'll also make an HTML imagemap version with clickable links to the individual server maps.

You first select which of the epic servers you want to go to. If you select a homeserver you get send to the starter town. If you select the elevation server you then select the kingdom, and will be send to their starter town, or to their capital if it's a pmk.

And where do you spawn on Wild if you pop out of the Tutorial?

At the starter towns

Also, Exodus has 2000 less creatures then Deliverance, not more creatures.

There is 3 portals to Wild, one for each kingdom. They work in the same way the ones at FM do and spawn you at the starter town of the chosen kingdom. There is a single Epic portal, which takes you to either of the 3 homeservers, or to the spawn of the chosen kingdom on the Epic main server. HoTS spawn is located just east of the Blacklight, MR to the west of the Whitelight and JK to the east. I think.

It's not just Independence that can port to Wild.

Wild can port to Epic also

GV also has a port into Wild.

GV can also port to Epic apparently

I think something like this is more accurate:

Very unappealing visually, but hope this gets the message across.

Sorry if I come off as negative, good work, you're pic does look good but I think there is absolutely no way you can put all of this information onto a picture.

Porting between Epic and any other server will also only send you back to the one you were on previously too, not sure how you would show that.

What source are you using to determine that Deli has 2000 more creatures?

*runs to Deli to kill more stuff*

Two separate diagrams for the clusters, GV at the top with an arrow going to each cluster, and a double-sided arrow in the centre, voila.

Thanks for all the feedback so far. I've tried to incorporate it all in the update (at the top of the thread).

  • Added missing portal arrows (or so I hope) and some text for clarification.
  • Changed boat crossings to reflect that you can cross anywhere on the border.
  • Added disclaimer so the fan site police won't arrest me.
  • Added Valrei & link to Valrei map.
  • Made a version with clickable links to the individual maps.

Is there a clean version of the Kingdom crests available somewhere so I can stick them on the respective home servers?

I have a much better understanding of the intricacies of portal travel now, but one question remains: What happens if someone goes straight from the Tutorial to Epic, then builds an Epic Portal? Where will that take them?

You realise that from Monday Wild is linked/sailable from all the current Freedom servers too, right?

Yes. That's why I typed stuff like "I know that Wild will probably change very soon anyways." and "I'll update this map after it's happened." in this very thread ;-)

This is very nice and helps to direct people how to get to servers.

Great help to show new players how to get places.

Sticky please.
