Posted October 30, 2008 Hi there, just a couple of suggestions to help make HoTS more unique and separate them from normal humans in their abilities. First of all, the ability to Strip Corpses for Parts. For reference I am linking Tosti's recent suggestion for Advanced butchering, as this includes the option to receive bones from butchering. http://wurmonline.com/forum/index.php?topic=10270.0 I propose that HoTS characters have a couple of new options while butchering, "Strip Flesh" and "Strip for Parts". - When stripping flesh, a character would be left with a "Pile of [insert animal] bones". This pile of bones could then be used to resurrect skeleton creatures in much the same way as zombies are currently. - When Stripping for Parts, the character would (depending on their butchering skill) receive one body part, either the creatures head, torso or limbs. These parts could be sewn together with a string of cloth and a new item detailed below known as a "bone needle". The resulting abomination could then be resurrected as a Chimera animal. (Spider-Pig anyone? ) The second new ability would be to Use bones as a substitute. Using the bones gathered from stripping the flesh from a corpse, a HoTS character could have a few new crafting options. - Bone needle. This special needle would be carved from the bones of creatures and/or the enemy, and once enchanted with a new spell, "Necromancy", could be used to create Chimera's for resurrection. I would suggest that it can also be used for normal needle work, with the enchant playing no further role. - Bone handles/shafts. The ability to create shafts/handles for tools and weapons plus arrow shafts from the bones of the fallen. This would give a uniqueness to HoTS crafted items, and enhance the role playing background of the kingdom. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

MODEL! for this player made creature x[ Well I suppose it could be limited to certain combinations to limit the work, but it would just be a case of opening the models, pulling them apart and shoving them back together in weird ways. Posted November 1, 2008 I think bone handles should be implemented as something only the BL can use. Would make the weapon slightly lighter to couple with the new update Rolf just implemented where weapon weight affects how much stamina you use per hit. I think butchering players for them would be awesome, too, especially with the names of the players revealed upon examination. Although maybe it'd be a better idea to have it so you get bones from champion animals only or something, as using players is quite easily exploitable to be honest.
