I'm nearing the end of my first run as a Khajit Archer/Sneak/Crafter build. I can make just about anything and dragons fall to my poisoned arrows. I am mediocre in melee and have no magic skills at worth mentioning. Archery is a great tree, as is Sneak - almost every perk worth having. Proud to say that other than a few questionable spends on crafting (see below) I only wasted 2 perks for my build: one wasted in block, the other speech.

Even though I'm closing in on 50th level fast - I'm still finding a lot of challenge in the game. It certainly is not like Oblivion or FO where at a certain point you become a godling - but I suspect the leveling tables stop at 50 so that might not be the case in a few more levels.

I'm not sure which will be next: the mage or the warrior. First I plan to finish the main plot, thieves guild and dark brotherhood.

Potential Crafting Spoliers below:

I opted to develop all crafts.

Like so many people I rushed to get 100 Smithing and I really am not 100% behind that - the dragon armor is good but not that good. And the Left side of the smithing line (which favors archers and light armor) is vastly inferior to the right (heavy) side. But it's not too many perks total and it is a money maker if you don't buy materials to level it. Some odd matchups like the Razor being an Ebony weapon and the unique Blade's sword being Elven.

Alchemy blows for healing potions and the buff potions you find are better usually. There just are not a huge number of good bridge ingredients to combine two (or rarely 3 or 4) good effects on one potion. However, the poisons are pretty nice once you discover the two or three really good ingredients to get damage, DOT, paralyze and/or slow mixes. Perks generally suck on the tree however, and other than the % boosts I skipped them -although if I could get Purity directly I would.

Enchanting is pretty useful but not enough to justify all the perks I put into it to get it there. Oddly there is no perk for buffing resist fire/cold/shock perk, so you'll be able to make only very weak items with resist effects. And for the life of me I can't find a one handed weapon buff item to disenchant.

This one eats perks to be useful.

Just get the 4G new slim model for 199.99. Open up a 1st gen xbox 360 hdd, Gut the insides. Drop the mother board in the side of the new 4g slim and PRESTO you have yourself a 120g xbox 360 s for the low low price of $230.

But shhhh its a secret. You can use a external hdd from xbox but they are 130. Or from other companies but they only format to 16g max.

So anyways DONT GO FOR A $300.00 one. Unless its a bundle with kinect. Kinect is very fun and will work great with mass effect 3. Not to mention it looked really good in the Minecon livestream.

Pffft. Kinect hasn't had any good titles, and I already have minecraft for PC and iPod. Gonna cost 300$ anyway for 4Gb, Skyrim, and Arkham City (Woot woot)

You know what, forget saving for a whole different set of computer parts, I'm just gonna go out and buy a PS3 and a 32" TV to enjoy it on, along with Skyrim for PS3. Life made simple- its cheaper than super computer parts.

About to do the same but with XBox 360. :3

New (good) computer: 800-1100$

Xbox 360 with Skyrim: ~300$

I already have a TV but,

(good) TV: ~300-600$ <-- Total Guesstimate on my part

Really wouldn't recommend gutting your Xbox 360 while it's still under warranty - they have a tendency to break when you're in the middle of playing Skyrim  ::)

You dont gut the 360. You gut a old brick hard drive from the early generation xbox 360s. Very easy to do if your decent with taking sht apart. And you plug it into the external slot on the new 360. Saves a TON of money. Craigslist will sell these old xbox 360 120g hard drives I got mine for I think 15 or 20 bucks.

TV i'm getting is from walmart.com, Westinghouse 32" for about $260. 60Hz and 1080p, I think it'll be enjoyable ;D Been playing on my friend's PS3; I'm level 16 Nord, pretty fun. What part of the story line have yall gotten to (main plot)?

I haven't got very far to be honest, there is always something else to drag me away from it or something to steal, my main character has some serious theft issues.

I always get drawn to go do something else or mine somewhere or just go out hunting. There is so much to it. If I had got this before Wurm, I doubt I would need to go out looking for another game.

Well being a werewolf is fun and you are not forced to stay in werewolf form it is actually entirely voluntary to change. However being a vampire you will remain a vampire all day every day.

I didnt want to be a vampire, theres alot of negatives such as when you go out in the day your stamina doesnt regen.

Had to go back on a save about 4 hours because i realized i turned into a vampire and didnt want to be.

A little disappointed in the end game - so much "now go talk to". Definitely going to make a new char for each major faction quest line - current is way too powerful. Highest difficulty level is too easy and doesn't seem to scale speech checks or stealth etc.

Know one of the reasons PC version is better than console?

Mods... especially the ones that improve graphics, features, and etc. Theres been companion mods in Oblivion for years (and I dont mean the pornographic ones).

At level 2, quit and uninstalled it.  Must not be my cup of tea, but I've never been much of a RP type dude wandering aimlessly to hear NPC's blather about BS.

GG Steam, you stuck me for $60.
