Posted September 18, 2008 Do you have ANY idea how rare it is for a site to blend in with my GNOME theme? Seriously.
Posted September 18, 2008 The website is a nightmare for my gnome theme. Thats the main reason I use the simple machines forum skin, and use a CSS override to change the main website page background colour from green to gray and hid the background image. Posted September 18, 2008 I normally use an FF extension I wrote up awhile back to invert the colors being rendered. It's not perfect, but it does keep most sites from BLINDING me. I just like the whole pseudo-retro look, you know? Green on black FTW.
Posted September 19, 2008 Its not that bad... Something I have noticed with most dark themes is that they look bad at first glance, but use them for a while and they look better then light themes and are easier to read.
Posted September 19, 2008 It's pretty damn hideous with FF, not to mention that most text-fields and buttons are unreadable. It looks decent with most other programs, though. Easy to read, doesn't strain my eyes, doesn't bathe my room in that unnatural monitor glow at night, etc.
Posted September 19, 2008 If you want to change the colours of input fields, you can get the addon called "Stylish" for firefox, then just create a blank style and insert this into it: input { color: #00ff00 !important; }Just change 00ff00 to colour type you want should you decide to change it, and it should change the colour of the text in all input fields. Unless I screwed something up, but it seems to be working for me at first glance here.
Posted September 19, 2008 I thought you were going to say something about the players on the forums! I was going to correct you ;D
Posted September 19, 2008 doesn't bathe my room in that unnatural monitor glow at night I fix that problem by turning my laptop off..
Posted September 19, 2008 Considering what I do for a living, that's not exactly an option. Sure, I could turn the monitor off, but do you have any idea how long it takes for a 32" CRT to warm up? :/

Posted September 19, 2008 What could possibly keep you from turning off your computer? You know, I'm starting to agree with Amikron about the state of Wurm's community. It's not the focus of this thread, and it's none of your damn business. Quit being a prick.
Posted September 20, 2008 You were the one who brought it up, I was just asking. In the future, try not to spaz out when someone asks you a question, please.
Posted September 20, 2008 What's wrong with saying "What could possibly keep you from turning off your computer?"?
Posted September 21, 2008 p.s. it really is a horribly ugly theme What kind of theme do you use (Assuming you use GNOME (KDE sucks))? Also, this thread is now about linux desktop themes.
Posted September 22, 2008 Eh it's an alright theme I guess... I prefer a colour scheme more like Ubuntu Studio's default.
