Thread Vargo made on the Lionhead forums.

Had always been looking for games that featured the "survival" aspect as well as crafting and a bit of PvP. For instance, I was a big fan of "Jungle troll tribes", a custom map for Warcraft 3. ;D

Wurm had everything I ever wanted, first thing I did was swim out to camp and pick sprouts. Been in love with trees ever since. ;D

I found out about wurm from the Taleworlds forums.

Which, might i add, are probably some of the most evil and negative forums ive ever seen.

Been so long I don't even remember. Considering the fact no one tends to remember who I am, it probably wasn't someone else who told me about it.

I think I just randomly stumbled upon it while looking through a list of free MMOs.

I want to say google, not sure anymore.

Found the site, read the "Game" page.

Was sold.

Played for 5 mins, then for hours straight, saw the grass(WITHOUT FLOWERS!!!!), the water refelctions, the lighting the fire put on the trees at night,

sold.

Read it in the information of a guild in the game ATITD. I believe they had gone to atitd during the wurm crash, waiting for wurm to return and had since left and returned to wurm as the guild seemed abandoned then- I think I tried to look up wurm at the time but didnt find it or maybe it WAS still down then but I was always curious though I knew had no time for another full on mmo.

Was quite awhile after this I left atitd so decide to check out just what this wurm thing was- I probably googled wurm at that point and found the link.

If anyone recognises themselves from the guild on atitd (sorry forget proper name) - big thankyou to you :)

I came with a cadre of misfits from another MMO*, World War II Online.  Despite their completely different genres, the two games actually have a lot in common.

Insanely steep learning curves.

Small development teams.

Small, rabidly loyal communities polarised by ingame side.

In any case, WWIIOLers are fond of their invasions of other games.  Some of us remain here, awaiting the return of the King and his followers.

For beneath the mountain, King Mole sleeps...
