Unable to launch the application in either stable or unstabe

Recommended Posts

Attempted to launch using TWO computers, a PC with XP, and a Laptop with Win7. Wurm worked fine up until this morning for over 5 months on both systems.

Maybe you saved wurm launcher applications (stable/unstable) on your hard drive?

Then you just need to download the new on on the site (stable) or on the wiki (unstable) to replace old ones, then relaunch the game.

Weird, in fact i have had this issue, and i just needed to download the new unstable from wiki website then everything went fine.

May check your browser (like clear history) to be sure if it did not remember your last download to speed up next time you need the same file?

I run into this alot because it doesn't update the local file. But if I use a web link, I don't have the option to control where the program is started and thus can't control where wurms files are stored. For now I have to DL the client and then I use a shortcut to that. The client also doesn't include the prorgam icon, so it just uses the java default icon.

I am also having this problem but my error says a different version. I checked my add/remove programs list after it updates and it says that i have 2 installed versions. Version 3.0 and version 3.0.1 However i am only able to uninstall version 3.0.1 and not the other. It pops up asking to make sure i want to uninstall i click yes and then nothing happens and its still on the list for version 3.0. If i uninstall the version 3.0.1 it will allow me to run the game once until i close it and then i get a similar issue to the others that posted here. The error window says i have a different version then them.

Well here is the error i get:

I had this error too.

1. Open Run.

2. Type in javaws -viewer

3. Click ok and it will bring up another window, it will bring up the Java Cache Viewer.

4. Right click the Wurm Online Application and click delete.

5. Redownload the wurm client from the website.

Hope this helps, worked for me.

If you're unsure how to find Run.

Search for Run if you're on Vista/7, type it in the Search tab down the bottom on the start menu.

If you're on XP, search for Run in C:\

You are using an old jnlp file to launch the game. Download a new one or use the link on the website to launch the game. Maybe empty your browser cache.
