Check your NVidia drivers are upto date.

Also try the Stable client.

Where (server, village) does this happen? Does it happen on every login?

It's either a client or server bug. Or both.

Wollschaf: Hint, it's not cave-related. :)

This is most likely a proxy messing up the content-length header. We'll have to add handling for that, I guess.
