Yeah, I'll have to say +1 to this, even thought I get a bad feeling the engine doesn't support this.  

But yes, it is silly to have all these nice tables and chairs we can craft and yet not sit at.  

If I was truly feverish I would say give a nutrition bonus when eaten at a table.

Ooh here we go:  New item.   "Fine Dining Table."  

Requires:  One wooden table, two wooden chairs. one sheet (to be the tablecloth), two pottery bowls, two pottery flasks (drinking glasses), two forks, two knives, two spoons.  

Once complete, you right-click on it and select "sit at table."  Any meals consumed while sitting at a a Fine Dining table receives a bonus to their nutrition that scales with the QL of the fine dining table.

It's just a matter of a sitting animation and a height change. We had the height change on April Fool's day so I'm pretty sure the engine can support it
