Posted September 5 Hi, Trying to figure out what to build for mass storage (not fine sorting). My last ragequit was before the advent of racks. According to the wurmpedia, taking dirt as an example: 1 BSB rack, 4x BSBs with 853 dirts in each = 3412 dirts 1 Large crate rack, 30x crates with 300 dirts in each = 9000 dirts Both racks seem to take the same place. Posted September 5 crates is the way to go for dirt and sand. and ore. but once you make lumps , bulk rack is better. even put locks on each of the 4 for quality sorting. my forge area i have 2 bsb racks for the 1-90ql then a single bsb for 90+ql and fuel. but all the ore i gather i keep in crate racks. dirt is best in crates as you'll pull them out to use landscaping or piles for charcoal ect. . i use the crates for sorting ql clay for imping as i dont need lots , bsb the crating ql clay. easy to move 12 large crates with wagon vs just on bsb if you have a rune wagon. but we can't load bsb racks. i think empty and carry if you have the body str. or just drag to boats, i forget how i moved them. I was thinking of making crates for anything that requires sorting, isn't it better to have 30 or 51 containers rather than 4, for finer sorting? Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
Posted September 5 10 minutes ago, neofit said: I was thinking of making crates for anything that requires sorting, isn't it better to have 30 or 51 containers rather than 4, for finer sorting? the issue is only 300 items per large crate. bsb holds 853. dirt but will hold i think 16,000 lumps. so all the heavy items crates for sure better option. but smaller. like lumps shafts, planks, bsb way is the better way. although again i use a bsb on my wagon with most my building items. and a 2nd wagon with crates . so really mix and match, do both really. should see one as better then the other. but neither is a bad choice either.
