BR Peasants Seeking Wisdom: How to Get Rich in the Desert of Harmony?

Recommended Posts

Good morning, good afternoon, or good evening, depending on the time zone you're in when reading this message. In-game, my name is ArathorNeldamUm, and I'm part of the BR invasion happening right now in the desert of Harmony (don't worry, we're harmless... at least some of us).

I’d like to ask a question to you, masters of wealth, providers of silver and gold. I bought my premium to enjoy the game more, as some of my skills had already reached level 20, and that limitation of not being able to level up further without premium was really getting on my nerves. The thing is, here in Brazil, due to the devaluation of our currency, the Real, against stronger ones like the Dollar and Euro, it's becoming impossible for me to buy silver or premium for friends who also want to play and enjoy this beautiful work of classic art with me.

So, I humbly come here to drink from the fountain of greedy wisdom and learn ways that a young peasant like myself and my four brothers-in-arms can make silver. Our goal is to earn enough to buy a deed and maybe even pay for premium for a few more friends. Our current situation is as follows: five peasants, two of them with premium for two months, and a strong desire to make a profit. But we're more lost than a blind man in a shootout.

Could you bless us with your knowledge and provide us with a step-by-step guide on how to get rich? Keep in mind, laziness does not inhabit our bodies, so if it requires callusing our hands and shedding some blood, we are ready for it!

Early on easiest is probably bulk work, selling things like Mortar, bricks, planks, nails, support beams by the thousands, Could also make alts to make them faster or pool together with your buddies. Look at other merchant threads to get an idea on prices or do a PC in trade.

Learn the art of mortar-making, rare-crafting, cheesemaking, or go pvp on defiance and sell the sleep powders you get from hunting. I heard JK has plenty of Brazilians in that kingdom also, so you can literally jump start making coin rather fast.

Good video on rares:

There are quite a few ways to go about silver though most of the high silver ones require prem. You can kill stuff for random coinage, bot/forage has a coin chance as well.

Slave labor. Some people have .massive surface mining jobs. This also comes with bulk items usually pays 1s/1k actions.

Unique hunting. Wander the maps looking for unique and pining then. You can either slay these and we'll the spoils or sell the unique itself. Dragons roughly go for 2g.

Making rares is the most consistent money and quick sellers.

All this being said. It's better to buy prem with cash. Spending your whole playtime to make coinage for prem isn't fun.

If i was in your shoes I'd pick one of these paths:

Make as many alts as i can handle and spam dig clay. Sell rare clays, treasure maps and bulk clay/mortar.

Panfilling work (Pan filling for someone else to gain skill is tedious and gives you no skill gain but due to this it pays well and not a lot of people offer it)

A good way to find all of these odd jobs and/or buyers for potential bulk goods you are willing to make is the trade channel in-game.

Post a WTS for bulk goods or labor actions that you are willing to provide every 30 minutes or so until you find a buyer.

I can say from experience that bricks (stone shard + chisel) and mortar (sand + clay) usually sell very well and quickly.

Even quicker if you decide to undercut the market rate, though people will get mad if you do that often enough.

Sand is also sold at the same price dirt, and for the same purposes.

But all in all, getting active on the trade chat channel to find work is your best bet.

I sincerely thank everyone who shared their knowledge with me, as well as those who sent me inbox messages with solutions and tutorials. It's been amazing to interact with you all! Thank you so much for all the help and for clarifying some of my doubts about the game's economy.

My advice as someone who has been a freemium player for a really long period of time: join a village and focus on 1 skill.

Joining a village allowes you to have a space to deposit your bulk goods, work and sleep, plus getting food and water.

Focusing on one skill allowes you to make certain bulk goods faster and make the same amount of money in less time.

In my case, when I decided to join NFI I joined a village which belonged to Southern Harmony Alliance, inmediatly I had someone buying rounded stones from me. I focused on that task, got my stonecutting to 40 plus a chisel as gift, made more bricks and nowadays I have my own deed and several rare tools. I can mine 1k shards in less than an hour :) and 1k bricks in 60-70 minutes. That means I only need 10 hours of work (5k shards to make and sell 5k bricks) to make 10 silver to pay for a month of premium. And dont get me started on rares, those are life saving.

If you dont want to make bricks for whatever reason, you can dig dirt or make mortar (clay + sand). You will raise your body skills nicely, and while digging dirt or clay youll have chances of finding maps that sell well too.

Thank you, man! You gave me some great guidance. I just got my first affinity in stone chisel and stone cutting. Could you recommend someone who provides good chisels at a fair price? (Keep in mind I'm a beginner, so please have mercy on my savings, haha!)
