Posted September 3 (edited) Entry: To enter, contestant will need to appear at the event and provide the following information: Archery Skill Longbow Skill Each contestant will start with a 70ql longbow, a single quiver of 41 arrow shafts, and be wearing attire befitting a golf course (no leather or metal garbs, except a helm, toolbelt, backpack and the provided quiver). This extends to the removal of all bows and quivers from their person prior to competition. The contestants will be randomly assigned into foursomes which will be announced ASAP. These foursomes will be responsible for keeping track of each members scores. If one contestants scores are erroneously recorded, the entire foursome is disqualified. Please ensure an accurate score for each member is provided per hole. Round progression: The foursome is announced and introduced at the first tee box. This group will then play all 18 holes sequentially. Each contestant has 41 shots to be used wherever they wish to use them across the course. Any unused shots at the completion of the 18th hole are forfeited and players will not be permitted to return to a previous hole. Only the highest score on any hole will be counted. Contestants will conduct all shooting from within the designated tee boxes, refer to the score card for hole handicaps and championship tee box locations. Do not pick up your shot arrow shafts. At the completion of all foursomes, final scores will be reviewed and winners will be announced. Cup prizes will be awarded based on score placement. Door prizes will be randomly awarded through a lottery system. Special notes: Final scores will have a skill adjustment factor applied. If a bowstring snaps, contact staff immediately to minimize the impact to pace of play. This widely based on the honor system, please show respect for the course and your competitors. Do not pick up your arrow shafts. Edited September 23 by Felthanne Rules posted!

Posted September 24 Shooting at Rifts is a great way to increase your Archery skill and become comfortable with using archery in combat. Its a bit overwhelming at first but you get a rhythm going and get your procedures down and like a lot of things in wurm, next thing you know you can do the complex parts with ease. Posted September 28 Just received an important update from Kaufecake: All, Currently, I am without power from Hurricane Helene, we are safe and everything is good. If power comes up with ample time to finish preparations, the event will continue as planned. The call will be made 12 hours before the scheduled start. I apologize for any inconvenience this has caused. If the event is unable to proceed, we will be announcing a revised date ASAP. One last note, me and my family are fine - but many are not and many linemen are working tirelessly to restore power to the many thousands of people without. So please keep them in your thoughts as they have a much more grueling time ahead. Thank you for your understanding, Kaufecake
