Posted August 9 Does lava adjacent to a highway cause catseyes to receive damage or pop? I have a single missing catseye on a highway tile running through a mine. The tile directly south of it was lava/freeze cast for easier removal, but left lava overnight. The missing catseye is on the northwest corner of the tile directly north of the lava cast. Posted August 9 Just noticed this same thing happened on a second tile which was lava/froze, so I am certain this is the cause. Same positioning, same Northwest catseye missing. Whether it's intentional mechanic or a bug is for someone else to say.
Posted August 9 I ran into this issue a while back. It seems to happen when lava has been frozen from inside the mine, which leaves the corresponding surface lava active. In my case, I went back and froze the lava on the surface layer too. Afterwards, the problem did not recur.
Posted August 10 (edited) All the lava I have been casting & freezing has been at most about 24 hrs between a lava cast and the freeze cast. AFAIK none of the underground lava pillars have frozen. The catseyes seem to pop immediately on lava cast. Edited August 10 by munster
